That's because you are still sexually active . This is what I found , initially after fapping it becomes smaller for the first few days and as you say it returns to normal within the week . NoFap though seems to have a different effect .so I'm this case you go 5 days and beyond no pmo or even just past your max . So of its 2 days 4 days you will notice . bit there seems to be an increase in restless energy an increase in adrenaline circulating the body . And complete lack of sex drive Essentially what I think is going on here is we are overstimulating our sex drives with frequent porm use. And when we stop it crashes . We don't let sexual energy flow naturally and potentially sexual exhaustion. Which is what flatlining could be recovery from sexual exhaustion We go back to relapse to return to some normality . This is the same for any kind of drug you need to keep taking hits in order to function at the same level and in order to return to.that level without the drug you go through a rebound effect where you need to naturally return to baseline So I'm thinking that first week your still on the window of overstimulated but beginning to crash sort of speak . Everyone will be different and vary on severity . Hormones obviously play apart here as well including diet sleep etc etc. So basically fapping multiple times within the week you are always over stimulated but bordering sexual exhaustion . We repeat the cycle and overstimulate with excessive porn use. We stop and we crash We relapse and we're back to over stimulated We stop we crash We go through flatline We return to base level So while we are overstimulated with porn underneath we are still sexually exhausted ie pied , poorer erections that's sort of thing , obvious not everyone will have exact same issues.but seems to.be a recurring theme especially the longer you've been doing it. Makes sense that after a time period of NoFap and rewiring as they say people start talking about vast improvements. Makes sense there is a refractory period but the biggest sign of how long it will take to recover is going to be sexual exhaustion hormones . Dopamine levels , diet , etc etc . Many people probably never step outside that refractory period and are constantly I'm a state of overstimulation /sexual exhaustion .
Pretty sure it's pied you describe . Pied is still part of the whole sexual exhaustion element . It's just coined a different term Pied is sexual exhaustion and overstimulation , flatline is sexual exhaustion but recovery .
