Honnestly, I would understand if my wife had an affair. Somehow, I did it to myself. The most hurtful would not be the sex but the possibilitie that some other guy made her emotionnally happier. The truth is that I had multiple virtual affair and I thought that because they were virtual it wasn’t the same but it is.
It's good that you have this outlook on it. By realizing this, you are giving yourself the best chance to take the steps necessary to a dress your own issues, and hopefully prevent her from getting to that point. Will be praying for you.
