The STD and abortion epidemics are symptoms that our society is ill. Did you mean fornication rather than adultery? Adultery is cheating on your spouse, violating the promises you made to them and betraying their trust. I don't know what your definition of "moral and nice" is, but mine doesn't include adultery! If you can't stay faithful, you shouldn't be married, unless you have specifically agreed to an open marriage. Breaking promises and keeping secrets from your spouse spells doom. I think the main problem is casual sex, not necessarily premarital sex in general. Sleeping with a virtual stranger without a committed relationship is simply asking for trouble. It's generally the highly promiscuous people that are the ones spreading diseases (though, you can get infected your first time in a committed relationship, I'm speaking generalities, not rules and exceptions). In case of a pregnancy from a casual relationship, you either have the tragedy of abortion, or the tragedy of trying to raise a child with someone who may be very incompatible with you, or having things like court battles over custody, child support, visitation rights, etc. In a committed loving relationship, not necessarily marriage (marriage doesn't necessarily mean that the spouses are actually loving and committed!), a pregnancy isn't some catastrophe, but can be a challenge. What I was trying to say is that traditional morality does often help prevent negative consequences. It may be "restrictive and unfun", but it can serve a purpose.
Breaking someone trust is also a sin Just put yourself in that situation Would you want your partner to cheat on you...
Looks like I have a autospell error. I did not refer to adultery. I read again. Where do you see adultry. Did you understand what I relate?
Yes i mean fornication. if you do it save there is no risk of STD or pregnancy the big reason you are against it are " morals "
Uh, condoms are not foolproof. Some STDs can be transmitted even with a condom, and about 2% of sexually active women will become pregnant in a given year with consistent and correct use (inconsistent, incorrect use has about a 15% pregnancy rate). Even the IUD isn't perfect regarding pregnancy, as there is about a 0.3% pregnancy rate. Your internal risk/reward circuits are biased if you think there is "no risk". Are you a young man who still hasn't lost the invincibility complex? Do you still think that bad things only happen to other people?
This is why it's properly called "safer sex", not "safe sex". Ideally, we would even get rid of the term "safer", and use "reduced-risk" instead.
