I've read that testosterone levels slowly increase up to 10 days during abstinence. I just recently read that after 12 weeks of abstinence, some men had testosterone levels similar to those of children. Do they really dip that low after 12 weeks?

No, I cannot see why that would happen. Do you recall who made this claim and where?

Seems highly suspicious to me. From the way I feel, my T levels are way, way higher now than they were on day 10.

If this keeps up, I'm going to be a monster.

It is likely that you will experience a flatline (decreased sex drive) within the next week.

I'm going to search back in my history, but it was an article on sport performance and sexual behaviour, more specifically: does abstinence really boost athletic performance. Anyway, I didn't entirely believe the claim, and to be fair the article was fairly biased. Here's the link: http://mmajunkie.com/2009/03/ask-the-doc-does-abstinence-really-boost-athletic-performance

It's a couple paragraphs down... I took it with a grain of salt anyway.
    Thanks!

I've done quite a bit of research on this. From what I've read test levels drop a little after orgasm. Then levels build until the 7th day of abstinence after orgasm, peaking at 147% of baseline testosterone. After continued abstinence levels drop to normal.

I've made this slightly erroneous conclusion. Basically constant, regular orgasm will slightly suppress test levels while prolonged abstinence will keep it at the baseline. Once weekly orgasm would technically be the best, but in the end you need changes of about 200% testosterone for it to make much difference in muscle building, sex drive, etc.

Sorry to hear that... if you don't mind me asking: how long have you been receiving testosterone injections? Even with testicular hypogonadism, did you notice a rise with your testosterone levels with abstinence?

I have had them for a few years. Most of the time I have been in a flatline, but I am not sure if that means my testosterone readings are any less.

Are you in a flatline because of the hypogonadism or because you are still recovering from PMO?

Yes, I meant I have been in a flatline for the last 7/8 weeks. But I am starting to come out of it now (I think), lol.

Simple natural ways to increase testosterone level
1.Increased weight or obesity leads to increased estrogen levels. Increased estrogen lowers testosterone level. Hence try to shed excess fat. Do not fast or skip meals to shred excess fat. Once again poor eating habit reduces testosterone level. Losing 2kgs of weight per month is always ideal.
2.Do not take a diet which is very high in protein. Reduce carbohydrates, sugar and oil content in daily diet.
3.Regular eating habit prevents frequent fluctuation of hormonal level.
    4.Exercise regularly.
5.Perform sex frequently specially in morning. Frequent sex reduces weight and increases testosterone levels.
6.Eat pea nuts, pea nut butter and olive oil.
7.Reduce alcohol intake. Relax and try to distress. Yoga and meditation help to reduce stress level.

The best way possible would be to have sex but to not orgasm. This is very hard for most, but this is what makes a king a KING.

This is another reason to reboot, because masturbation causes ED. Rebooting would allow you to last longer in bed and have more control over your sexual energies. There is nothing more inflating of a mans testosterone than pleasing a women in bed and not releasing all of that built up testosterone.

Herbs also help a lot, like Ginseng, Horny goat weed, Maca, Ashwagandha. etc..

I have to ask... what's the reasoning behind reducing protein intake and increasing sugar, oil, and carbohydrate intake, which all add on excess weight very easily? Not sure how that plays a role with hormones... Protein builds muscle. More muscle means more testosterone?

Reduce sugar, oil, and carbs is what I had wrote, and here is a quote on why high protein decreases testosterone -
"Preliminary findings from a study published in 2007 in the "Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology" indicate that eating a high-protein diet might actually lower your testosterone levels. This is because high-protein diets cause an increase in insulin like growth factor, which can interfere with testosterone production. Although these findings are not conclusive, it seems unlikely that a high-protein diet can boost your testosterone levels."

Whoops misread that, my bad! But do you reckon that if one is exercising and building muscle, wouldn't protein be an excellent nutritional choice (helps repair torn muscle tissues)? The findings are not conclusive, but in my opinion, if I'm building muscle, the first snack I'm reaching for is high in protein.

Not many want to hear it, not many will accept it, but you cannot deny the facts (I eat a plant-based diet, please don't hate on me :D):

Oh ya, and as for ejaculations, your testosterone levels drop every time you have one, so moderate them! No more than once a week is the most you should allow yourself. You could always moderate it even more, according to some ayurvedic wisdom once in every 30 something days is best because that is how long it takes for food to create the peak level of sexual essence in the body. And surely there are stories of people going even longer in between ejaculations, yet may still be sexually active on a daily basis with their partners. And also, according to Chinese Medicine Theory, during sex with the opposite gender you are absorbing each others' essences and hormones, which is very healthy, it is the devastating waste of semen through masturbation that does the most damage!

  20. Seems highly unlikely. Maybe they were referring to the flatline. Thats what I've read. But otherwise they're returning to "normal" level. Not baby level.
