I've noticed some people say "Its all a placebo and it's bullsh!t" Or "I tried NoFap, I was a bit more motivated sure, but mainly just horny, that's all it really is, is just being horny."
What about the concept of NoFap/Semen Retention being a very old concept to increase focus, energy, mood and decreasing anxiety & depression? What about the famous/succesful people (both past and present) who practice NoFap?

The worst thing you can do to someone who took a placebo, is telling them that they took a placebo. So, even if it's true, they aren't being very helpful, are they? When I started Nofap was when I got my feelings back, and before that there was just void and tiredness. Now was it BECAUSE of Nofap that I was able to feel happy again? Well, I don't know. I don't have a clue how the body actually works, and not a lot of research has been done on that particular subject.

I think what they don't get is that not everybody is an addict. Just like alcohol, there's plenty of people who drink fairly regularly, but aren't addicted to it, then there's the ones who are actually addicted. Can you imagine a healthy person who drinks a glass of wine weekly, meeting an alcoholic who's rehabilitating and telling them, "Nah, it's all placebo and bullshit, you should go back to drinking"? That would be outrageous! And yet, people have this blind spot for PMO, they don't even conceive that someone could be addicted to something they themselves are not addicted to.
