Porn dreams

Men i can feel you! It's strange since 3 weeks i'm getting porn dreams, cause i was close to the 90 days goal... i don't understand why, but i guess it's a way your brain works on your porn addiction... in a good way i hope.

 

When I first started this journey in January I was having sex dreams the first three weeks. But now, even with my relapse a few days ago, I haven’t had any.

 

I came to the forum today to write a post about porn/sex dreams, then I saw this thread and thought I'd join in.

I haven't watched porn in almost 2 weeks and I'm also having dreams about porn and having sex. I think it's because our brains are so used to the recurring porn viewing that it's detecting an absence? Hence the dreams. Not sure...

Either way, keep up the good work! I'm sure this is all part of it.

 

Got one this morning. Made me feel horrible.

 

Yeah I felt that today and a couple of days ago, I honestly don't want this odd pain away because I will know I felt bad.

 

I often dream about relapsing to porn. Only two or three of the dozens of wet dreams I've had in my life were not about porn, in fact...

maybe you're thinking of it continuously. watching related to porn can be tempting.

 

When I've dreamt about porn I usually have a harder time the next day... but I do often feel good. Because in my dream, I think "I'm watching porn again... " And then, when I wake up: "It was a dream! Let's not watch porn in real life! " and that's a motivation.

 

Yes i even had dreams where it looke like i relapsed for example i was dreaming that i was sitting on the computer at a (POV) and wathcing porn. then i thought damn i relapsed but i realised it just a dream really wierd dreams

Those dreams are fairly common when you deprive yourself of P. If you've ever been famished in an environment where food can't be obtained, you have the exact same thing hapenning to you. I've been living in pretty harsh places including the Sahel desert for a few years, and you end up dreaming about cheese or yoghurt, because there's none around, not even if you had a million dollars at hand.
I suppose it's your brains belief that reactivating what made you feel good will encourage you to seek it again. At some point (pretty fast actually), it understands that what it's suggesting is unavailable and starts lowering its expectactions. Soon you'll be dreaming of less "P-like" scenes, and after a while you'll be dreaming of a kiss or a touch or a hand, a smile. Pretty cheesy I know, but that's the way it works !

This is exactly what needs to be replaced in our brain's functionning, it must understand that something else than P will bring you what you're previously been getting from P.

 

I guess it's a good sign that you all are dreaming about porn, isn't it? At least looks like the abstinence is making effect and your body is reacting to it. It's not a relapse, just a side effect
