Have you ever experienced a perfect moment in time?

The deepest intimacy is not social or even sexual, it is existential.

Sublime is the best word I can come up with.

There is also no longing there. With all due respect to the Sufi tradition - actually they even recognize longing just gets you to that point. There's just nowhere else ...

And it's not to say sexual relationships can't happen, I'm sure it can - but it is coming from a very different place no doubt. Instead of being neurotically concerned with our "seduction capital" as one philosopher puts it, my sense is it'd be on a much slower time, with a sense of grace and ease.

To the everyday mind state just being here no doubt looks like a waste of time very quickly, but maybe there are enough people out there these days who have had some experience of this to recognize what these words are pointing to.

If you've seen Star Trek: Insurrection, you might remember the line: "Have you ever experienced a perfect moment in time?" That's what this is about. It isn't about a "great time" like someone planned a romantic candlelit dinner and the like, or the events or content in time - it is about the moment itself, so what happened is secondary and may be very ordinary, but the experience is extraordinary.
