i feel porn has taken so much awya from me, that i dont know anything else and as much as i fight it, it keeps coming back especially when tired i know i need to replace it with other activities, but i just dont have them to consume that scale of a void keen to take views, to get me through this stage thanks
Willpower alone will make it extremely hard. Start small, maybe telling yourself to make the bed each morning, come up with a schedule. Fill your day with responsibilities. Yes, responsibilities so you wont take your recovery lightly each time you wanna relapse. This responsibility is towards yourself. Now i am not saying stress yourself out with multiple jobs and attending countless events. Like i said, start with something simple, maybe housechores? You need to work towards adopting a new routine in order to override the porn habit. Excercise is another very good option, extremely constructive and keeps you disciplined. Again, start small. Maybe going to the gym three times a week or running two times a week. Another very important aspect is how you regulate your thoughts and processes. Each time you feel tempted, think of why, why are you doing NoFap, what are the consequences? Like every excuse you have to view porn, think of every reason there is not too look at it and adopt the ones that speak to you. Bottomline, you have to proactive and serious about recovery. Make recovery a responsibility to yourself. Do not be harsh on yourself, but be firm on why you decide to do Nofap. Hope it helps, cheers
To be honest,I do I hate porn now.Its destroying humans.Human's brain aren't design for porn ,humans have a built in desire to reproduce and pass on our genetics. If you satisfy this need by masturbating, then the body and the brain believe that you’re doing well in life. The brain does not know the difference between real sex and masturbation. This means that men everywhere are tricking their brains into thinking that they’re a hit with women. By refraining from masturbation, your brain panics. It starts to believe that you’re useless with women, this is where the extra benefits come from. The body decides to improve you in every way possible in order to attract women. The brain is programmed to pass on genetics, if it can’t do that, then it’ll do whatever it can to encourage mating. This includes making you look better, giving you more motivation to go out and make more money/approach women, provide you with confidence and give you a deeper voice. Women are attracted to testosterone and masculinity, this is natural. By improving a man's physique, voice, health, personality traits, body language and pheromones, it enables a man to become what women want. The added benefit is that women and success are closely linked. Whatever helps you with women, generally helps you achieve success in life.
I found that funny somehow. To me that doesn't sound like "starting small". That's a full blown work out routine^^
Haha i was just giving an example. What is "small" is obviously subjective. Bottomline dont do something you too're too uncomfortable with, you will have to adjust the level discomfort with your temperament.
If I could give my own limited insight - I undertook this all as an experiment. I wanted to see if I could do this without making too many drastic changes. The only ones that I undertook at the start were to reduce my caloric intake to 1,800 C (~4,500kj) a day, and walk to and from work instead of taking a taxi. Since starting this, I've started looking at other physical (and non-physical) ways in order to improve myself. I have signed up for a beginners parkour course, am strongly leaning towards a beginners yoga course, and think that gym membership is almost inevitable. I also found myself going to a run/walk in the order of 7kms (my sneakers failed early on, but I ran in the remnants). I sweated a bit, but the thing was I didn't feel winded at the end of it. I can't remember I didn't feel winded after such an effort. Steps lead to strides, which lead to giant leaps. Start small, stay committed, you'll be surprised where you find yourself in 90 days.
