Passed the 90 days only to realize NoFap is like Runescape..

You never quit it, you just take breaks. You try to quit and do different things always expecting different results and receiving the same outcome. So this time i am taking a break till my bodily functions seize to exist.

I managed to reach 109-110 days and it was an amazing ride, sure i relapsed today but overall the biggest supporter for me on this journey is my fiance, my closest AP. Telling her about P and talking to her openly about this subject has relieved me of so much stress, pain and fear.

I no longer stand in the shadow of P, i don't fear it, it doesn't turn me on, it doesn't intrigue me, its repulsive fake sex. But i must admit, nothing magical happened after 90 days, its just an abstract number that kept me focused and aware of the existence of my addiction and my persistence in overcoming it. The end result i think was unhealthy for me to not O for such a lengthy period of time.

I will continue living and outliving my addiction, but i need to think and reflect about my actions.. So now i am doing NoFap till i get married, which is going to be september 6th this year, not far from now and shit happens :).

I got 46 days without pmo, since the beginning of the year 2018, I noticed an increase in my concentration and my physical strength, only that two days ago I relapsed :C, i felt bad but I learned a lot and get away from the things that i can see P, truth in the nofap staff did help me a lot, what we must do is to learn to live with our addiction for a good period and in order to achieve our recovery.
Congratulations for your marriage, very successful friend.

  3. Sorry for your relapse. I think you should be happy that you are no longer a compulsive user of P. To go all those days without P is a remarkable achievement. Many of us are struggling.

However, I would not equate NoFap to a game. I think the whole notion of NoFap is not just abstinence from PMO and gaining some imaginary points or leveling up based on the number of abstinent days. It is about improving one's character and learning to manage emotions that act as triggers. It is about a journey of self discovery to uncover the causes of the P/M addiction and healing from the real issues not the symptoms. NoFap is a platform from which you can start leading a healthy lifestyle free from compulsive behaviors. And that is where the "magic" emanates from. At least that is my subjective take of NoFap. So please do not say that you will never quit. That attitude is a sure fire way to return to compulsive use of P and no one wants that. This not an all or nothing journey. We will make many mistakes.

All the best in your journey and wedding preparations in the forth coming months.

Strength is something that we all have at times and lack in others. Don't give up!! I like this verse to get me back on track.

"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." 1 Corinthians 10:13

This makes sense to me. I went 90 days last year and it didn't actually take me long to get back into old habits.
