(VOTE) Should I watch porn 1 time before college?

Well it's easy to see what's happening here. You went 330 days without watching porn. Then you recently started masturbating again. And now you have a craving for porn again. So starting up masturbating again has led to the craving for porn. In other words, you should not even masturbate because that leads to porn for you. If you look at porn once, you don't know for sure that you won't be able to stop after that one time. Here's an idea: find other amazing things in life to do besides looking at porn or masturbating. Sounds like your brain is trying to trick you in to looking at porn! Don't do it!

 

Porn is a slippery slope, many people can have normal relationships with people and still use porn but some people cant. With all the negatives that can come with porn its better to just stay away from it. Going into college too is the worst time to relapse if porn is a serious issue for you, risking things like social anxiety and PIED definitely isnt worth it. I dont necessarily think masturbation alone is a problem, but if it leads you to want to look at porn then its probably still too early to just masturbate too

First of all, congratulations on more than a year of recovery! Well done, I hope you keep it up; I humbly advise you to not drop your guard. What do I think? I think it's a trap. Actually, experience speaking, I know it's a trap. The above bolded are all indicative, of a relapse to an old, dark lifestyle. It may seem like 'just once,' is innocuous. But it's not. 'Just once,' morphs into, 'one more time, won't hurt, will it?,' which changes into a full on relapse. You have worked so hard to get where you are, why go back?

You are starting college again, that's awesome. Please don't jeopardise your awe-inspiring streak for something that's not worth it.

That's assuming that you CAN stay clean for the month before college. It's been over 2 months for me and the porn is still affecting me, and I rarely watched it in the months up until I stopped. I wouldn't ever go there.
