Fapping and gains ?

    Im an addict , i need someone to wake me up and tell me the truth

    Masturbation is bad for the gym .

    Someone support my theory . Cuz i know people who say otherwise r addicted and dont want to realize the ugly truth

    Its not that M is bad its just that abstinence may lead to higher testosterone levels which will increase gains as shown in the following studies:
    Well it doesn't let me link the studies so search "Testosterone increase? nofap" in google and it will take you to an old discussion go to the second comment and you will see two links those are the studies.
    There is also more benefits which aren't physical but mental and that is increased will power which will help you get to the gym and do another extra or hard last rep/s and over all feel more motivated.
    But I haven't been able to find any studies aside from people here in the forum self experimenting.

  3. Masturbation itself does not effect gains.

    NoFap may increase gains by increasing test up until day 7. It may also increase gains due to the effect of increasing determination, and because of sexual frustration, you may hit the gym harder to avoid relapse. I however have noticed the same result with the same workout, preworkout supplement, and amounts of whey consumed. NoFap may help with the dicipline to get one more rep.

    Is it placebo? Partially. If you are convinced something will work, your body makes it work. If you think NoFap will help with gains, it will, because you will will those gains into being.

    I believe that even though ur test levels drops after day 7 , still we shouldnt fap

    Masturbation in particular kills energy . I did 2 10 day streaks and i noticed differences in motivation to hitting the gym without any laziness. I mean maybe it does not affect gains in particular but being able to lift heavy will help in gaining more gains .

    Fapping is bad for everything, not just the Gym, at least for me. I can only offer you my testimony. To me, when I'm on NoFap I have so much energy that I can do either more reps or more complicated exercises (I'm doing Calisthenics by the way). Now that, and a somewhat good diet, have given me some good results. Im years to where I want to be, but people and I notice the gains. I never had this same energy nor motivation when I was fapping everyday like a monke on a tree branch. I hope this helps even a little
     
  7. It's an indirect effect. Let's say you get 2 weeks into NoFap. You are proud that you are conquering a life long habit, this gives you confidence, this confidence energises you, you use this positive reinforcement loop to hit the gym harder, this gives you more confidence because you are conquering another part of your life, this further feeds the positive reinforcement loop and you hit the gym harder still.

    NoFap is the catalyst, but you could make the change without it. It's just a low hanging fruit to start that positive reinforcement cycle. Also remember if you hit the gym for 6 months, and relapse, you won't magically lose all your gains.

    Thanx guys , this is what i wanted to hear .

    I noticed the energy that i got when i did my last streak . Not only that but i am very motivated. Dont need a lot of sleep . And always have the energy . More dedicated than ever in my life .

    I am not sure if my changes were from NoFap or stopping smoking . But i am seeing changes like never before .

    Nofap rocks , be strong

    When i traned i trained for my self i had like a lot of motivation i felt the grip of the bar and was like lers gooooo.after i starded masturbating i lost somehow interest in training

    I will tell you a short funny story
    In June 2016 I joined a gym
    I was doing well for the first two three weeks
    Then on 20 July.....I masturbated
    I was feeling low and less confident
    Then it was my second day with a new trainer
    When I was lifting weight with difficulty
    Then that guy jokingly said
    "Brother have you masturbated"
    And we both started laughing
    And I was scared and shocked too
    Then I started linking these two things....
    Yes M affects our strength and stamina
