Recently i was having a discussion on pornography with one of my friend. We had a hour and a half/ 2 hr talk where i was sharing my experience with it, and her experience. As i was telling her, i could see the flashbacks of porn in my head, and with the flashback some feeling of rush in my head.

Since then, i'm feeling anxiety. Did i relapsed?

And also she put up a very nice point which really hit me. She said that most of the porn addicts were exposed to porn when they are kids. And that is very early age, and we get addicted to it just because we are too early to recognise anything about porn. Porn is 18+ content, she said.

We both are 22 years of age, but unlike me, she started looking at porn at age 20, for the sake of watching it. Forget about getting addicted to it, she said that she watched porn for one hour and then got totally bored by it, and then stopped watching it at all.
Said that "porn is just a fantasy, pathetic fantasy with unrealistic situations which are far than believable" and thus she didnt enjoyed it because she found it fake. "Just look at it as an entertainment, and remember nothing in porn is real", she said.

What's your opinion? did we get addicted to porn just because we saw something which is meant for adults as kids and cant understand what it is.

She said to me, that now you know everything about porn, just look at it, and you will find no big deal in it. Eventually you'll get bored by it. I said no.

i think the constant novelty, the ability to see more and more females day in day out, get us addicted to porn, its like rabbit hole we jump in then we get lost.
my female friend also once told me watching porn is boring for her.

(just my 2 cents i m not expert, i m also trying to get out of rabbit hole).

    Maybe.

I think your friend has a point. It sure is true for me, i see porn for the first time at 10 years old, which is too early for sure. I think it fucked up my view of sex and women.

P.s. You did not relapse at all.

    I don’t think you relapsed.

For me tho porn wasn’t a fantasy, I would watch amateur, or just people alone with their own bodies. She makes an interesting case, but what about the realistic stuff?

Firstly, you definitely did not relapse. Regarding watching from an early age, I started watching porn since I was 14, and because in my country we have just a limited connection with girls. Thus, I have not had a girlfriend in my life, and pornography the replacement. I have been watching porn for about 12 years, but in the last three years, I have mosly stopped watching videos, only watching erotic photos because I have got bored from porn movies.

In my opinion, watching porn from an early age has a severe effect; similarly, smoking from an early age and other kinds of addiction.

One more thing, Men are much more vulnerable to porn than women from my perspective.
