Edging Vs relapse

    Guys I am going to be at home for 3 days now and I feel it is weather I relapse or I keep edging I have to mention that being secluded and with so much technology causes me issues like high dopamine and the need to cum
    What should I do end it and start over or wait 3 days without controling the edgings?
    I already know that edging is bad and I am on day 30 of no MO

    Just stay strong and don't "peek" or PMO at all. Stay out pf your place: go to a coffeeshop, go to the library, go to the gym, take a walk, see friends, go for a movie. Invite a friend over.

    I think that is impossible prevail over MO with P. You can stay away from P with MO, but not the opposite...
    So, that's my personal opinion, but I give my guarantee to you that it will be much more easier without P.
    At this moment, try to focus in some strategy to avoid and/or overcome a similar situation in future, like Mordobarn's advices...
    Finally, concentrate and reflect, pull yourself together and try it with a bit more willness.
    About what you'll do at the moment, do not consider P at all. Don't feel bad, we are all in the same situation here...
     
  12. Man, I don't think you ever understood the science behind nofap and the purpose of nofap.

    Semen retention is only useful if you don't masturbate. Edging is terrible. It releases a ton of dopamine in your brain and allows you to watch porn and masturbate for longer periods of time. Plus, you will eventually develop "death grip syndrom" and/or "delayed ejaculation" and/or "PIED".

    The truth is you never even had a streak in my opinion. You need to start today: no edging, no peeking, no porn, no masturbation, no orgasm for 90 days.

  16. It might be your opinion that edging is better, but biology doesn't care about your opinion — you need to turn to medical research instead.

    Don't confuse "relapse" and "reset".
    • "Relapse" is a medical term, which relates to becoming re-addicted. In this case, you can consider it to be a relapse if you do any of:
      • Watch porn; or
      • Play masturbation games (edging is such a game); or
      • Repeated masturbation; or
      • Excessive masturbation.
    • "Reset" is a non-medical term used on this website. You reset your counter to zero when you break your streak with porn or masturbation. If you are on hard reboot, you also reset if you have sex or orgasm.
    A reset isn't necessarily a relapse. If you masturbate and orgasm just once, with no porn and no games (also no edging!), you should reset your counter, but (probably) you haven't relapsed.

    It's important to understand what's happening in your brain when you watch porn, when you masturbate, and when you edge. So, go to the main site and read the articles (scroll down to the bottom of the page to "Get Help" and "Categories". There is plenty of information for you.

    So, repeating myself, here is what you need to do.
    1. Cum once (without porn!) to release that pent-up sexual energy so that your brain can settle the dopamine. You don't want to begin your streak while you are fired up.
    2. Stop watching porn. Delete your porn stash. Install porn-blockers.
    3. Set up your badge for hard reboot (no-PMO), starting after you cum. Your counter should read zero today.
    4. Read the articles on the main site, so that you understand what's going on.
    5. Make a serious promise to yourself that you will look after yourself and be cured of this horrible addiction.
    6. Stop masturbating. Any time when you make a slip, reset your counter, and hope that it isn't a relapse. But seriously, do your best not to slip.

  18. I don't understand what your obsession is with not cumming. When you edge without cumming, it boosts the dopamine in your brain. When you have a proper orgasm and cum, it resets it somehow. I don't remember the science, but you can look it up. After all this edging, you need to reset your brain!

    Just do it the once, without porn and without edging. If it's semen retention that worries you, that's an unproven theory. Even if it's true, it is far, far less important than healing yourself. You need to heal first. Worrying about semen retention when you're addicted to porn and edging is like worrying about the colour of your bicycle when the real problem is that your bicycle's tyre is bent and your brakes don't work.
