    Hey

I'm having a bit of problem here and hopefully someone can ease my mind. I'm a 22 year old male. A virgin and have roughly PMO'ed for nine years. See I always get the feeling that women can sense that you are PMOing when they look at you and it messes with my esteem. I mean, I'm a relatively good looking guy so attraction has never been a problem but just never managed to make the moves on a girl. I started the new year without fapping but still watched videos and I don't want that. It seems because I know I'm a virgin I may never get laid so watching eases my mind as if its nice there are other people doing it and I'm not. That sucks big time. Anyway, what has anyone done that is effective to stop watching videos because I've got the no fapping under control. Any other additional advice is welcome.

The most effective way to stop watching the videos is to stop watching the videos.

A lot of guys think they have an MO problem. They don't, they have a porn problem. Until you get porn out of your head, it will always be there. Obvious I know, but true.

5 months porn free, PMO free. My story if you want to read it.

In the meantime newbie, get educated:

This is chess, not checkers, so understand the problem.

    Good luck in your journey.

As a former virgin I feel your pain, but I will be brutally honest with you. Stopping for 7 days means nothing. Absolutely nothing. You are still "consuming" porn, even if it's just be watching it. And even after stopping watching movies, just by imagining or thinking about porn you will be "using" it. You need to get it out of your head, COMPLETELY.

I recommend installing K9 filter on your computer and asking someone else to enter admin password. Move your computer/laptop to a public part of the house, like the living room. Use the internet less. Get out of the house and do activities: sports, hobbies, meeting girls. Don't do just one of the suggestions, do all of them. You have no willpower, so you have to make sure you don't rely on willpower to stay away from porn. You need other strategies and I offered them. Now you have no excuse. Go and do them all and be successful.

Also listen to Will and get educated. Instead wasting time to watch porn use that time to read why porn is harmful and how it can be overcome.

    Good luck

Glad you are on the forums trying quit. Its a longer journey than you might anticipate. First off, girls can't neccessarily tell whether you PMO or not. You low self esteem comes from the shame you have of watching porn and masturbating.

1)Understand your problem as William and aron pointed out
2)quit porn and fapping for good-no matter how long it takes
    3) learn how to attract women and build healthy relationships with them.

I'm nearly in the exact same boat as you, Buxicano.
It's been 9 years, and I'm very close to your age. Also a virgin.

About talking to girls, I might have something useful to say.
A few months ago, I happened to stumble upon something known as the "Seduction Community."
Basically, they're a collection of Pick-up Artists who are working collaboratively to pick apart the minute details of social interaction. There are many books on the subject, most notably "The Game" by Neil Strauss. I'm reading through that for the second time now, and I think it would be a great place to start.

PM me if you would want to know anything more about the "Game".

EDIT: Definitely watch that video William linked to, it's reaffirming to say the least
