Hi, I´m completely new here and I feel like I really need to stop watching porn. I have 2 questions: 1. I once read that what makes your life worse is porn and not fapping so what should I do, quit porn only or quit both things? 2. I just set a 90 day challenge for me to stop watching porn/masturbating, what I don´t understand is what happens next. Do I go back to doing it daily or do I quit for good? Why do you put challenges of 90 days only? What do you do on day 91? Plase Help!
90 days is about the amount of time it takes to lose interest in sex, porn, or masterbation, or 'reboot' yourself. After that, it's completely up to you.
After that time you do what you want. You get on with your life. By then you will know very well what life without PMO can be. You get to choose your path..
The 90 days is just a milestone. At the end of the 90 days you might feel much better about yourself and realize that you have no interest in watching porn and masturbating (a combination I don't recommend after this). Live your life and focus on other things. I can't say where I'll be once I hit the 90 day mark but I will probably keep adding more milestones. This isn't just about stopping PMO for a period of time and going back. This is about changing my lifestyle. I'm not saying I will NEVER watch porn again and NEVER masturbate, but right now I don't want those things in my life.
First off, congratz on choosing this path of life! It's the right choice and you're doing yourself a really good deed, I promise. 1. Porn's the main culprit, but because it's so closely related to masturbation it's best to quit both. 2. That's the amount of time you choose to abstain from PMO (Porn, Masturbation, Orgasm, pick P or MO or both, your choice) and the end of it is your milestone. Now after that, it's up to you. Wanna continue masturbating without porn or continue abstaining from them? By then NoFap would've transformed you and your perspective will change, don't worry about it now and just focus on getting to your goals! And keep in mind, this is not something you're doing just for a small amount of time, it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change like lifelong fitness!
