It's been six months since I PMO'd the last time and I feel great!

I no longer see women as objects, my first thought is no longer how they would behave in bed, I can approach people with confidence and an open mind, I have plenty of energy and my ED/DE have been gone for a long time now. Is normal life really like this?

The last urges stopped at around 4 month mark and I no longer miss P. I have noticed increased will power in other areas as well, for example with what I eat and I seem to be on my way to my normal weight.

Thank you all for the support so far! Here I am, starting the next 6 months of nofap.

Keep going, good things will follow!

    Hello Tomtom,

Thanks for sharing this, as I move through the process I wonder about time frames. Realizing we are all different, I do not expect much of a brain reboot until maybe 90 days out. As far as urges stopping, they have already slowed down a lot after only 30 days of no PMO. I've recently quit looking at porn and I'm not missing it too much. Regardless of what happens, I do know that my life is 100% better since I have started this journey in Dec. 2014. The amount of time that I have found since no PMO is helping me improve other areas of my life that were always neglected.

Stay strong, you are a good inspiration for all of us.

    Thanks guys!

My urges slowed down a lot already earlier but I haven't really had any urges during months 5 and 6. There are things I really used to miss but no longer do and that has given me extra confidence that I really can beat this crap for good.

Good work brother! I am on day 50. Experiencing the same effects of more time, more self-control in other areas. I still get urges, or I will see something that makes my gears turn, but I am quicker to shoot those thoughts down. Doing well, and I hope to be were you are soon! I am ready to beat this out of my life!

Congratulations on your 6 months of porn sobriety! Thanks for sharing your story of success, especially the part about ED and DE being healed. That's the main reason I am doing this, and it's nice to get the extra encouragement from other people's successes. Great job, man!

Amazing job! I caved in to some MO at around the 120 day mark. I still haven't watched any P which I feel is a huge improvement. In the meantime I am doing the Lent Challenge for this year. The power of mind was so amazing during my reboot last summer.

    stay strong everyone

Congratulations about your days! 255!!!! WOW You are my hero!!! Well done. Keep going.

I set a goal to reach until 25 of April, but I would like to extend it for a whole year like you!

Can you please be more specific about it? Would you like to give us some details? It will help me to realise how different or same is this experience for everyone of us.

About eating and weight loss: I have just found it easier to control what I do. Eating candy and other sweet things has been my problem, now that I have the strength to say no to P (and M) I kind of consider them the same, I just say no, I don't do that any more.. My candy eating kind of got out of hand during the first months of nofap, though.
I also started measuring my weight every morning and keeping track of it. I know that relapses with sweet things will show up there.

The most important things for me where figuring out what kind of things triggered me to PMO and then actively avoiding them. Videos on yourbrainonporn.com helped me understand why I was so hooked up on P. Being married and noticing my sex life improve as my DE/ED faded away provided positive feedback that what I was doing was the right thing to do.

I didn't make it this far on my first attempt, only when I joined nofap.com and actually studied why I kept coming back to P my healing started.

Good job @tomtom. I'm right behind you at a little over 5 months.
Life is so much better, I look back at all the guys still struggling with the strong hold porn still has on them and appreciate not being there anymore.
I still struggle with fantasy but I'm pretty convinced pmo is out of my life for good.
