Hi i’m struggling to find motivation at the moment, I don’t feel a huge amount of superpowers. I think ehat’s The harm in a bit of pleasure with PMO but then stop myself. Is there any way to combat these urges before they start?

Sometimes I feel we have subconscious triggers however the only real way I know how is to keep yourself occupied or find something that you can occupy yourself with as soon as you feel the urge to PMO.

I’ve got those urges right now. I’ve also got the experience of an almost 2-year-clean run. So here’s what I’m doing...
    • Remind yourself of why you started this process. How horrible you felt as a result of PMO. It teaches you that it’s not the answer.
    • 40 days is not really long enough to reach the end of the process. It can be, but more often than not, it isn’t. Read up on other people who have been through the process, who have gone through this stage. It can be really horrible, and will take anywhere from a few weeks to a number of months. 90 days is probably a typical time to see the effects.
    • You probably won’t ever stop the urges from happening in the first place. You can get so far with teaching yourself that this isn’t the answer, that P is not reality, that the people creating P are often very troubled people... my favourite is reminding myself that this “fantasy” is happening to some other lucky f***er, who always seems to be an absolutely beastly human anyway. When you think about it, why would that get anyone turned on?
Just a few ideas there. Ultimately, you might not stop the urges, but you can learn to combat them better.
