hey yall, just wondering if anyone had any advice or if anyone has had a similar experience. I've been addicted to porn for about 15 years, and had depersonalization off and on for about 12 years. I've been trying to quite porn for the past two years, right now im on day 40. The anxiety and depersonalization has been bad on this streak. I think life stress has a lot to do with it but also the fact that Im no longer making myself numb constantly with porn. Has anyone had success overcoming DP, and has it gotten better as you've extended your time away from porn. Any advice anyone hason overcoming DP is welcome, Thanks

This streak I had bouts of re-realization yes. But it then took a turn and I was starting to get doom-like feelings again where everything feels strange and dpdr got a bit worse again

Did you also start having more/worse symptoms from around day 40?

    Can you describe your anxiety?

Hey.thanks for the response. The anxiety and dp have been pretty much the same level since around day 12. Im now on day 41. I have the unreality feeling, and alot of the anxiety spurs off of that. It feels like i have to get rid of that feeling or something just isnt right. I dont know if my brain just needs to learn to cope with stress better after years of porn use or what.

Yeah I'd suggest you follow a very strict regime for your lifestyle while doing nofap for a couple of years. Then see what's left of the symptoms
