Defeat your addictions the smart way

    dont go too ham in your initial goals. If you want better results over time in the long run , in my opinion, you should start by abstaining only from porn first. continue masturbating , release your sexual tension with that . Porn removal subsequently dismisses over time most of your problems: Anxieties, low self-confidence, escalation fetishes, brain fog, and porn induced sexual disfunctions such as erectile disfunction, delayed ejaculation , etc. use your imagination, fantasize about things you like, that make you aroused . but *dont* involve porn in any part of your life. By the time you feel the NEED to cut off masturbation in addition to porn , after you abstained from porn for an adequate amount of time and witnessed the great benifits it caused, you can cut off also masturbation.
    Same concept as I would suggest to someone who is addicted to cigarettes. Im not a big professional on this topic but I would tell him to cut off the heavy cigarettes first - smoke a healthier type. Then , as the next habilitation step He cuts off , gradually , the amount of cigarettes he smokes per day . For example , If he smoked 2 packets per day , now he will smoke only 1.5 packets. It will be a huge challange for him at the beginning , but he is improving step by step towards the final destination . then in the following weeks(or months) he will lower the amount of cigarettes he consumes untill he reaches 0.
    The point I want you to understand is that when you cut off instantly an addiction, from 100 to 0, it will destroy you . The beginning of this rehabilitation process may be quicker,however, your addiction is also more likely to defeat you quickly. if you fight it in a smarter , graduated way of exposing yourself to a more difficult level step by step you will have better results over time: Your brain will get used to the conditions over the time which causes you to have less instant withdrawal symptoms . As a result you experience less relapses and more enjoyable rehabilitation process. I understand everyone wants to have their addictions(problems) lifted NOW, removed IMMEDIATELY, which causes them to have less rational, more emotional based decisions. Delayed gratification is the key, as well as strong will power . Fight your addictions the smart way.

    I been thinking exactly the same recently, decided to take that approach, like almost EXACTLY
    I'm not sure how true it is though. But I'm sure it will never work if you don't have stuff in your life that fills the gap gradually and motivate you for further abstaining from that habit. If you are in a messed up state, or have plenty of time that you don't know what to do this, such approach will never work.
