What happened?
As announced, I took NoFap's forum offline for server maintenance. The main goal was to close the board, export the data, install xenForo forum software, and import the vBulletin data into xenForo. The planned downtime was 3 hours total, but it ended up taking 20 hours.

Why did it take so long?
Because everything went wrong. We only got a tiny bit of sleep (me and one other person are working on this) since we took the site down. Rough night We worked through most of the issues and the board is now live again. Everything has been transferred over except for the groups. Importing the groups deleted half of the database's data - we're still trying to figure out why.

We're working with the group plugin creator to solve this issue, and will likely have a brief downtime when we figure it out to bring the user-generated groups over from the old forum software to this one. We'll be testing this several times on a test instance that we set up to ensure it doesn't re-break everything again. The next downtime will again be announced and should be a lot briefer - only an hour or so.

Conclusion
Welcome back to NoFap, and sorry for any inconvenience for being offline for 20 hours This was a big step NoFap, and I'll be working my butt off to iron out the kinks over the next few weeks.

Another good thing about this is that it should be the last downtime we will have for a very long time.

No, to be blunt I have a day job. I'm doing my best, and will get to that once I fix the NSFW tagging issues.

Ok no problem thanks alot Alex, u really are doing a superb thing for the whole world, I love the site, it may save me and generations to come thru my kids and my kids kids etc. Starts w me, HUGE THANKS!!!!!!!!!!
