    Day 1:
No temptation so far, usually it takes me half a day to feel the urge to masturbate again. I will update you tomorrow on my progress.

Well done buddy. Glad your clean.

My advice is not to build up your goals. My own experience when I did this was just many failures. Set the goal to 120 days. It may be harder and more demoralizing if you fail but in the long term I think it's better.

    Maybe that's just me

    Good luck.

    Peace.

I think you should start off with a smaller target like 7days, not 30days or more because it will give you pressure. Hopefully after 7days, go for 14days and keeping adding a week. Just my opinion pal

I decided to set my counter for 120 days I want to go all the way.. though I reseted my counter by mistake, I haven't PMO'd since yesterday

Day 2: I had trouble sleeping at first it was a long night (I usually watch porn a lot before I go to sleep), but once I went to sleep,, I had the best amazing sleep in a long time.. Part of it because I didn't want to wake up and start fighting this..
I've read through a very good publication today titled " The Porn Circuit Covenant Eyes".. It's very amazing, now I could relate and understand porn and masturbation addiction more..

One of the suggestions of the book is to try to form new habits that will flood the body with the dopamine that was supplied previously by the P&M. I started walking for 1 hour today.. It felt so good! I was struggling with porn thoughts and images coming constantly in my head since yesterday until I started walking! It works like magic

    I fixed my counter :)

Also, I would like to add that I wouldn't have known this site if it wasn't for this book.. The term fapstronaut was new to me and I am proud of being part of this community.. Yes to freedom

Day3: last night I had trouble sleeping, many urges and bad thoughts came to my head, mainly because I used to engage in porn activities before I go to sleep.. Nonetheless, I kept on resisting reaching for any electronic device and after 3 hours of struggle I managed to sleep :)
During the day, I felt much better, and I haven't thought much about porn.. Walking also, My new positive habit ;), helped a lot! I made a promise to walk every day for at least 1 hour..

Also, one interesting note I got from the book today, is that once you make yourself convinced that porn is ugly, the process will become easier..I am quoting from the book below:

"A person should learn to associate porn with something negative or toxic so that they know how to block when a punch (in the form of a trigger or cue) is thrown at them. Porn has plenty of negatives, but it must be perceived by the individual as ugly. Porn is demeaning and abusive. It steals away the intimacy of a marriage. It creates the demand for sex trafficking and modern day slavery. Learn to hate porn. As Weiss writes, “You will never destroy an enemy you embrace.” "

Welcome jamesmtl, please share with us your experience so that we all learn from each other..

My highlight for Day 4: I was almost about to look at some porn materials before I go to sleep, but I remembered that I have abstained for 3 days and that I have a blog to write about my next accomplishment next day.. So thankfully I resisted and stopped..

Here is a thing very useful to apply in such tempting situations the Three-Second Rule which involves three steps : AAA, Alert, Avert and Affirm. Which I learned from the book "The Porn Circuit- Covenant Eyes".
    1. Alert: Realize that you see something inappropriate. It may only take a split-second to recognize a tempting situation.
    2. Avert: Close your eyes or look away. These first two steps should be instantaneous.
    3. Affirm: Give yourself a mental high-five to congratulate the effort. Say to yourself, “I saw that by mistake, and I quickly looked away. I’ve been clean for (enter number of days) and I’m going to stay that way.”

All the beast. I am not going back to pmo.
Cultivate a hobby or passion and invest time there.
    Live strong. Stay happy!

This is very good news! Wet dreams are definitely signs of healthy body.
During Day 5 and Day 6, I spent most of the time with my friends during the weekend. So, thankfully I didn't have lots of time to fantasize about PM. I also begun to notice that my mind got a lot clearer and became more focused towards work and assignments!
