So I've made it 7 days so far. And have no plans whatsoever of returning to PMO. However...

The primary reason I decided to partake in this challenge was because of a bad experience will ED, which I'm pretty sure was related to PMO. So I just wanted some perspective from people who are or have been the same boat as me. Any success stories with PMO related ED?

  2. Recovery time is dependent on how long you've been masturbating to porn, and how damaged your neurological system has become as a result. There's no set-in-stone recovery time; it takes how long is takes. Saying that, most people will notice great results in 3-6 months. Personally, I've had sex twice during recovery (previous streaks), both after only a couple of weeks abstaining and my ED systems had disappeared completely. It can be a quicker process.

I ve been there. Once your Dick become sensitive again it'll help alot. I guess 1-2 months. Also if You use condoms go for the ultra thin. For me, not using at all helped, but dont do it.

Keep in mind that NoFap is a commitment. If You go back to pmo ED will come along.

Also, take care of your mind, performance anxiety can be a pain in the ass too. Dont get frustrated

    Good luck!!!

  4. Mirroring others, there are no cookie cutter reboots. Everyone is different and while some people have recovered from PIED rather quickly, others have taken over a year. The key is to not get discouraged with the results and continue moving forward. It doesn't get better and better every day, you'll have your ups and downs, but just know that you're making progress, even if you are in a lull.

If your adolescent brain developed on high-speed internet porn, it will likely take you longer to reboot. If you started at a later age, your recovery might take less time. Of course, these are only trends, your individual experience will vary.

Looking forward to reading your recovery story.

After quitting cigarettes for a month and going six days without viewing porn... I saw a big improvement with sexual activities with an ex. Both porn and cigarettes are known to cause ED.

I am attempting to give up both and need to remember that ED is real and is going to cause me problems in future relationships. A temporary escape for now can be detrimental to me later.

    Good luck

Yeah Alex, unfortunately I started my whole thing with high-speed internet porn at around the age of 12. Been addicted ever since. 7 years. I wish I would have known then what I know now. I guess it doesn't matter how long it takes, what matters is I want to recover.

Ty guys! A lot of awesome info. Ris11 I read that ENTIRE post. Helped a lot, ty.

Btw I'm really amazed how porn educed ED isn't that well addressed. People blame it mostly on either age, or performance anxiety. Doctors should all get educated on how the nervous system CAN BE damaged by PMO.

you can do it! im a 27 yo who has been unhealthy about M for the last 5 years or so...obviously beeen consuming P for 15 yrs but the first 10 was a relatively healthy consumption...anyway i have a lady friend that i am with regularly and i noticed gains after a 10 day period of no PMO, maybe even less... I think the most important thing is to have confidence and to not stress about it or past failures... stress is really what kills the E

Just an update. On day 18, I feel freaking amazing. The difference is like night and day. So energetic. If my PIED has improved any I have no idea, and frankly I'm afraid to find out and mess up any progress I may have made. I'm still not getting random erections like I used to. I guess I just have to keep going. The ED experiences were pretty bad so this many days probably hasn't healed me like I want... But I feel progress.

Good job on those 18 days! The fact that you are feeling better is amazing!

Keep in mind that throughout the whole process, you will probably feel ups and downs and you are still at risk of experiencing a "flatline" (some people flatline later in their recovery). Either way, you are doing great and if the urges come, just remember how you feel right now! It's not worth throwing it all away for a few seconds of pleasure!

I think I'm flatlining guys... My libido is so down. I'm also starting to think all these years I was PMOing it was more my brain asking for it than my dick. I mean... somewhere along the line my dick stopped asking for it and my brain took over because of the addiction. Now after 24 days my brain isn't really asking it, my dick isn't really asking for it, and I'm pretty sure my ED still there... lol
