I feel I'm slowly losing motivation to overcome this addiction.
I'm having these thoughts that it makes no difference whether I masturbate or not, that my life doesn't change one bit and that I don't feel any better. It makes me sad and I'm starting to wonder what the point is.
I feel it's just a matter of time before the day comes when I'll say "fuck this" and give up.

    Any words of encouragement welcome.

  2. Maybe you got this wrong. If you want a change you need actions. That means you have to face situations that you are uncomfartable with.
The problem with most addictions is that people escape reality (escapism) by running into a comfort zone which they are familiar with
even if they are fully aware of the negative consequences.
Not to recover but to run away.
If you want a change you have to stop running away from problems.
To become more serious about your decisions you need to free yourself
from the pattern of behaviour which leads you to your addiction.
Every ammount of effort you put in your development is worth it.

It's okay to be afraid. But it's not okay to let fear stop you.
    :)

Please don't give up. Your words indicate that deep down you do not want to fail. You have reached a milestone of 81 days. That's awesome!!! You've made it through some very difficult days, you can make it through this weekend as well. Enjoy the reward of a clean conscience and keep yourself far away from the opposite which hits us like a nauseating punch in the gut after PMO. Words of wisdom from a well-respected book say: "Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary".

I like the fact that you said that @The Legend of Hope

@angelpart — AngelPart (nice name!), if you were not afraid, you would not have reached out to this community for help. If you were not afraid then you would have already have given in to temptation. Why be afraid of anything? So you can exert every effort to stay far away from it because you know it can damage you. Don't let the monster consume you. For 81 days you have been leveling up. Inversely, the monster in your brain has atrophied because for these 81 days you have continually banishing it to an abyss of inactivity. You're strong and you will only continue to grow stronger. Keep fighting and keep leveling up until that monster is gone from your life forever!

Dude check this video it's by a good friend of mine who helped me get off porn. Write down why you want to quit and then do a moodboard as a visual reminder.
