Hey guys how are you I feel very depressed from the last couple of days coz of porn. Right now I'm on day 2 and I've been addicted to porn for 5 years so how long does it take for depression to go away ?
From 1 to 2 years on average, depending on the addiction. I have read it on YBOP and NoFAP sites, but I tell you from memory.
I went full carnivore because of depression, it really helped, maybe its placebo, but STILL. For me it took 2 days to get rid of brain fog and negative thoughts. It gave me mental clarity and strenght to cope with depression. Life seems much more positive now.. 80% of serotonin is produced in ur stomach. Check out jordan peterson and joe rogan taking about it. It helps for sure. A little unconventional, but depression is the worst! But u gotta be real strict!
0, depression is all on you man. You can literally become not depressed right now if something great happened to you now. It will go away when you are happy with your life. or just normal.
It goes away when you recognize your mood is YOUR problem. If you feel depressed you need to take steps to help alleviate the depression, and its certainly possible. I dealt with crushing depression, and probably needed to be medicated and maybe even hospitalized for it. I ended up by a river with a gun once it was so bad. BUT I also made it through it. I had to force myself to do things that I knew would make me feel better, even though I had no energy to do it. I forced myself to go to the gym, and I forced myself to listen to music....play music....learn to draw....start college courses again. I forced myself to download and listen to books on Audible, and I forced myself to go out and be social. I learned that once I was actually engaged with any of those thing, that the hardest part was actually getting up off my couch and going to do them. Once I was there, or doing it....it made me happy. Depression is no joke! Its a killer, but is it really how you want to live your life? Certainly not, so recognize that its something that is at least mostly (not all the way, but mostly) in your control to do something about just like most health issues are!
