Dopamine and muscle function

  1. Hello guys
    Does the lack of dopamine in the withdrawal stage make the muscles weaker? Or the nerves supporting muscles to be exact?
    I get easily tired while working out, like my mind-muscle connection is weak, my muscles aren't doing their best
    Will it get better?

    So I don't think dopamine has anything to do with it. I'm sure it's your testosterone levels self correcting and after a couple weeks you should be better. This also depends on how out of balance your testosterone levels might be.

    I too feel the same.
    Sometimes, I feel like as if I'm not able to breathe my full breath as if I have to make do with shorter breath.
    But this subsides when I take my multivitamin pill. Don't know what happens.

    I have been masterbating for 8 years almost daily. Also, as per my reports, I'm low in testosterone.
    Currently, I'm on 6th Day.
    Hope to recover form it.
    The problem is when you're addicted to porn you just can't sleep without masterbation. Probably the brain is asking for a dopamine shit and it makes you feel low on energy the next day.

    It has to do sth with dopamine in my opinion. I ve been training for 12 years and i'm experiencing more strength with nofap and i'm doing nofap to improve my dopamine receptors. Testosterone was already good before nofap. I made a test
     
  5. The thing is, I sleep well and eat well and feel well, my libido is strong, so I don't think it's about testosterone, but I feel like my muscles aren't giving their full strength, like I could do 20 pushups with my muscles but they give up at 10
    I'm not new to nofap and I've trying it for about a year now, on and off, I feel it has to do with dopamine levels, I remember that dopamine has to do with muscle contraction or something

  7. That's what I'm saying, people relate strength with testosterone, but it isn't all about hormones, nerves are what control the muscles
    I think we have to do some research about this

  8. For anyone interested, I found the answer with a quick search, I didn't think it was that obvious, I think I really have some kind of fatigue and need to relax my mind:

    Central nervous system fatigue, or central fatigue, is a form of fatigue that is associated with changes in the synaptic concentration of neurotransmitters within the central nervous system (CNS; including the brain and spinal cord) which affects exercise performance and muscle function and cannot be explained by peripheral factors that affect muscle function.[1][2][3][4] In healthy individuals, central fatigue can occur from prolonged exercise and is associated with neurochemical changes in the brain, primarily involving serotonin (5-HT), noradrenaline, and dopamine.[2][3][4] Central fatigue plays an important role in endurance sports and also highlights the importance of proper nutrition in endurance athletes.

    Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that regulates arousal, motivation, muscular coordination, and endurance performance, among other things.[9] Dopamine levels have been found to be lower after prolonged exercise.[10] A decrease in dopamine can decrease athletic performance as well as mental motivation. Dopamine itself cannot cross the blood brain barrier and must be synthesized within the brain. In rats bred for running, increased activity of the ventral tegmental area have been observed, and VTA activity correlates with voluntary wheel running.   10. Attention fapstronauts, I have practiced running at high levels for 12 years, ages 23-35 and I can assure you that it was a drug, not only for me, but also for my running companions. By studying the effects on the brain, prolonged running, marathon, half marathon or cross-country, greatly affect the endorphinic-dopamine discharge. While weightlifting, from a sense of satisfaction more nervous, less relaxing, more release of adrenaline, norepinephrine, cortisol. In this moment that I masturbate once a day, I felt a worsening of the nervous response rather than muscle.

    You have to understand at first how Dopamine works. Everytime we get pleasure from an action, Dopamine releases. So, it's for us to decide where to take pleasure from.

    The thing with Porn addiction is that it fucks up with our Regular Schedule. So, we constantly miss our breakfast and other meals day after day ultimately resulting in a Weak Body. Also fact that Most of our Nutrition remains busy generating sperms all day long because of Compulsive Masturbation might Hurt.

    Eat Healthy and go through the Process. Continue with some light Exercises for now and develop gradually. Dopamine has nothing to do with weaker muscles Directly. Rather Porn remains so attractive because of the Dopamine Effect. Same goes for similar kind of Addictions.

    After four days of nofap I was having trouble working out and felt weak and lost around 5 pounds. I am on day 10 or so and have regained the weight plus 2 additional pounds of muscle. So for me personally I had negative effects the first four days but now I feel much better working out and even better than before. So yes it will get better.
