Hey, I just realised that pmo is just brain triggered, yesterday I really wanted to but then I took a minute to post my feelings and when someone commented that feeling went away.with more more than two comment I was totally awake and surprised why I wanted to and that feeling hasent come back.its to my notice that the urge to is just a brain demand thing and the brain somehow wants it to be a secret between you and it.but when it now knows that someone knows or a couple of people knows and are against its demands it turns off that feeling or somehow hides from that shame. My point is, confronting yourself the worth of pmo, your own brain will trick you to believe it's totally necessary only to leave you later feeling awkward, lonely, cheated, crappy and totally worthless of anything good.

  2. Hi Goat matata,

I guess, you put it right ! Urges are always temporary. The ''I took a minute''-strategy is usually what helps you to overcome temptation to act out sexual fantasy/to masturbate. For me, it is very helpful to have a plan in mind that works like ''WHEN THE URGES HIT ME, I PROCEED TO ACTIVITY X or Y'' (define which X or Y works for you).

The second effective ''weapon'' you wrote about is to geht help. No matter if that's a community where you can share your feelings, an accountability partner or even a therapist. Leave the secrecy ! Sometimes, even self talk or journaling can save you from relapsing. Create routines in these two areas and you are prepared to avoid your next relapse.

I wish you all the best in this journey :) !

    Great post.
It's all a mental game. Conquer your mind and you win.
