Hey guys. I'm wondering what you think about porn subs.
What I mean by that is everything you look at (consciously/unconsciously) to become horny.
Are you struggling with this or not?

Well.. I don't agree with that. The stimulus doesn't only come from MO. Even getting just aroused and then "cooling down" again has an impact on dopamine production...

As you practice abstistence you will find yourself less and less affected by p-subs (nudity on media, movies that will have sex scenes, etc). I have managed to become invaluarable to those but there are some exceptions that can highly trigger me. This happens when i experience something close to my previous favorite porn likes. If something is similar to my "consiously" forgotten but "unconsiously" remembered porn i experience high urges. I had relapsed due to this but i can assure you that if you dont follow your previous paths you will live free from this. Remember as time passes porn has less and less power on you

As recovery progresses for me, p-subs do become more and more an issue. I become more sensitive to the stimulation they provide and more easily deceived that acting on that stimulation poses no threat to my sobriety. Once, for instance, I recall an attractive and wholly non-sexual image on a billboard kicking off weeks intense struggle.

I've had three or four very long streaks over the years. During these I did find there to be an 'other side' regarding p-subs. It seemed like once my system had had time to settle down and my life had become full of non-pmo interests and activities, magazines and billboards and the like were far less triggering. Not not triggering. But far less.
