Have you ever heard about Bupropion?

Hey,

I am 25 years old and have been fapping over 10 years by now. I have been trying to quit porn since the last year.

My life was a completely disaster: too much drugs (alcohol, marijuana and tobacco), gaming, internet use (most youtube) and, of course, that addiction wich shouldn't be named. My higiene was becoming precarious, and I almost never done something long-lasting productive thing in my life. I was becoming extremely anxious, depressive and very, very apathetic... developed scoliosis (probably because of sitting too much in front of my computer) and the cherry on the top of the cake is that when I was 20 years age old I discovered that I have HIV.

I am from Brasil and here we have free access to HIV treatment on a gorvenmental health program that includes psychological treatment, medication, free doctor consults and a whole sistem that treats enumerous IST's.
With all that said, my doctor prescribed me Sertralina, also known as Zoloft, wich is a antidepressive and ansiolitic medication to try to treat some of my problems... and it helped, I became a little more calm and happy, a sufficient amont to try to put my shit together.

So I entered another governmental program directed to help persons with mental health issues that includes people with drug abuse problems. I consulted with the psychiatrist that works on this program and said that I had problem with some drugs but the Sertralina was having effect on helping me to control it... and said that I wish to stop smoking as well. Then he prescribed me a medication and nicotin adehesives enough to use during three months. This medication is the Bupropion. Another antidepressive that is used to reduce the urge to smoke. And surprisingly it is very effective combined with the adehesives.

Bupropion have been capable of making the urge of fapping so much smoother than usual and for the first time I was able to make to a 8 days streak for the first time (I do not pass the third or fourth day) WHILE QUITTING SMOKING AND NOT DRINKING ANY ALCOHOL AT ALL (I do not record the last time I spent the weekend without being embriagrated with alcohol).

I superficially tried to search for abstaining from porn with help of Bupropion but I found only one thread that is poor with informafion... most of the response of other rebooters was poorly embased with a high amount of prejudice and stigma toards mental health medications.

I am sorry to have made this post so long. I decided that I will test myself with this medication on the fight against porn addiction, while quitting smoking and drinking. And if you people wish (or even if you not xD) I can post the results so maybe it can help someone who have lost the hope on quitting porn or even want to have a easier way to quit.

My 90 days streak is programmed to be over by first of march. My worry is that if I succeed with the 90 days streak and quit the medication I may have problems with porn later again. This is it. Bye '-'
