Hi all, I managed about 120 days of NoFap up until about November last year. Fapping now but trying not to as much. Going to try NoFap again soon - but this is not the point of the topic. Does ANYONE here experience hand tremors? My mother brought my hand tremors to my attention a month or so ago. I thought my hand shaking was normal - maybe coming from concentrating too hard trying to keep it still when I'm doing something with it etc. However, I've now realised that it isn't normal. My hands do not shake all the time - for example they're fine at the moment. However sometimes I notice that they shake pretty bad. Obviously Parkinsons disease is the first thing that comes to mind - but as an 18 year old this is unlikely. I am still planning on going to the doctors at some point however. I read online that alcoholism can cause hand tremors. Could it be possible that fapping addiction can cause it too? Interested to see if this happens to anyone else, which is why I'm posting. Let me know below. Thanks.
Now that I read your post it makes me wonder too. I have been addicted to masturbation and sometimes my hands seem shaky especially when I tried to paint the other day. Who knows.
I have had hands that tend to twitch on me combined with pain in the wrist. Not a shaking or a tremor really but my index and middle finder would sometimes twitch, sometimes my thumb would and sometimes all my fingers would twitch. I notice it happens less often if I don't O, and if I'm not consuming sugar. My knees also end up hurting any time I do either of those things. Weird I know. I think the issue is partially over masturbation but also having had a bad diet for many years. I felt slightly better after a colon cleanse and I'm planning a kidney cleanse and liver cleanse soon. PM me in a month or two and I'll tell you if they helped.
Hand tremors commonly occur during periods of nervousness and also after exercise. There are a lot of reasons why tremors can happen, but if you're concerned, make sure you have it checked by a doctor.
I know that hands can tremor after lifting weights, if you haven't worked out in a while. It's caused from the muscles being fatigued. I wonder if the same thing could happen from over fatiguing the muscles in the wrist, arm, and hand from over masturbating?
Search it on Youtube. You may find some useful material there.I heard a neurologist saying that it is connected to low dopamine levels and lack of stimulation.
This is so true. Low dopamine levels from excessive masturbation can lead to hand tremors, muscle pain/spasms and all sorts of issues. I'm worried that imbalanced dopamine levels from over masturbating could lead to Parkinson's one day. This is a really good reason to stop this before getting into our 50's.
Yeah I know what you mean. It's your low dopamine levels from excessive masterbation. I've not after I "o" my tremor come back. But when I don't masterbation my hands won't tremor as much.
I am feeling like this now, just had a few failures and need to reboot Anyway my arms are tending to feel shaky, like I've been carrying some heavy shopping a few miles. A relative that knows I am addicted to porn saw me shaking a few months ago, and surely knows why I was shaking - and that my excuse that I was overly hot didn't wash Quite scary really!
Hello, There are 2 possibilities according to what i have read there and there : either you have nervous problems, are very tense / stressed, either it is due to over masturbation because i have read that in some extreme cases parkinsons like symptoms can start to appear, as the nutrients and vitamins used for sperm are similar than those used for cerebral liquids.
The first month or more after I quit, I would wake up in the middle of the night almost every night with whole body tremors. I am a ways in now, and only wake up to tremors once every 10 days or so. I think the low dopamine explanation is spot on.
The alcoholism tremors are caused by the body’s dependance of the substance. this a a chemical reaction issue and wouldn’t be the same with all other addictions. There have been reports that anxiety can cause hand shaking. But there are many things thst can cause shaky hands. I have been using porn and masturbation for 20+ years and haven’t had your symptoms. I’ve been sober for 39 days and haven’t had any shaky hands. That said I’m not a doctor, so if your comfortable with it, let your doctor know about all that’s going on with you, including NoFap and any emotional problems. There’s also a really cool app for mobile called “first opinion” where you can get real doctors’ opinions for free before you go to the actual doctor and spend money. Good luck!
Hello. I am also having slight tremors in my hands. I am a heavy porn addict trying to quit. At one stage my whole body became so weak to the poont where I could not get up from the floor without support, trembling while walking and severly fatigued. This is strange because I have been also eating at least 3 eggs every day, raw milk and meat, with vegs and fruit and have a clean diet. I would exercise every other day and fast alternate days before my addiction got worse. I am 21 years old. This proves that masturbation is not safe. Dont listen to all those doctors that would tell you otherwise. We are living in a backwards era where bad stuff os promoted.
Bro, it happens to me also. 3 people have told me until now about this that my hands shake. I'm worried. It's probably because of this addiction.
I doubt it has to do with porn. My hands also shake, and doctors have told me I have something called a "resting tremor." It is most likely nothing. Just means that you probably won't be able to fulfill your dreams of becoming a surgeon.
There is a lesser known neurological condition known as dystonia that is caused by low dopamine levels in the brain. It can occur in the hands, legs, and (in my case) in the neck. It causes involuntary tremors that don’t stop, similar to parkinson’s disease. In my particular case, it gets worse when i pmo, then it slowly starts improving as i abstain for many days. I’ve been a pmo addict most of my life, so i often wonder if the constant flood of dopamine in my brain caused by pmo didn’t trigger this condition.
Since Yesterday night, My thumb started to twitch involuntarily. I thought it would pass when i wake up but it continues today. There were periods which my whole hand shakes even cannot eat soup with spoon. But this is time it's just my left thumb and it twitches only im rest just like in Parkinson's. I am worried. Does anyone experienced anything like this? And should I visit doctor? Btw i am on nofap day 15.
