If you see one second of p**n unintentionally, does it count?

I was on some dating forum

Some idiot posted a clip of a cartoon but in the middle posted half a second of p**n

I clicked off the window immediately

It stirred some lust in me but hopefully it subsides

That doesn't count as watching p**n right?

I don’t think unintentional exposure counts. It is only if you dwell on it in your mind after...

Agreed dude - it's pretty damn hard to avoid sexual/pornographic images these days on the web. Sure, they can be a trigger, but if you don't react negatively to the brief viewing, then I think you're still ok and no harm will have been done. There are some good posts on here for porn blocking software/apps if you need support in that way

  4. lmao what, oh and NO, that does not count. You are good! Be cautious.

  6. Doesn't count. You're good. I saw something accidentally on etsy today. Can't get away from this stuff!

The frequent use of the dating site, frequently looking at images of women, searching women's profiles, messaging women, I'm sure this will actually be activating your porn pathways much more than seeing a porn clip for half a second.

Right. Sh*t happens. And watch out for other stuff. Porn addicts (my opinion) are sex addicts. In the absence of porn, we’ll be attracted to other stimulating images, including supposedly “innocent” drawings, films, etc.

I tend to have a perspective that’s at least a little bit lenient. For instance, if you saw something and in a “knee jerk” (ha-ha) reaction clicked and saw something inappropriate, or spent a minute gawking at a lingerie ad before catching yourself, give yourself a break and don’t worry that it’s a relapse. Just learn from that to do a better job of keeping your guard up. Others may feel differently.

What’s up with the dating forum, though? If you’re spending a lot of time looking at women’s photos, ask yourself why.

And set a Day Counter. Again, just my opinion, but if I’m not keeping score, I’m not in the game.
