Any advice on antidepressants and withdrawals?

In 2018 I started taking antidepressants because my withdrawals were killing me. They did kind of help me to cope with everyday demands like school and work, but kind of killed my desire to talk to girls and stuff. It kind of like killed my desire to pursue girls, like I would feel nothing even if a beautiful girl would sit or walk past me. So Iast week I ddecided to stop taking the antidepressants and I noticed a few things: 1. I have more wet dreams now. While I was taking the antidpantidepressants I had literally none. 2. I have increased anxiety. 3. After I have a wet dream my penis size changes and increases.

Is there anyone out there who has the similar experience? And what advice would you give me? Do antidepressants kind of like hinder or slow the recovery process?

Similar but not exactly. I took antidepressants for a short time to help with amphetamine withdrawal. Amphetamine is a massive flood of dopamine so maybe my experience applies or maybe not. I experienced a blunting of all emotions as well as a total lack of motivation on antidepressants so I stopped taking them and dealt with the withdrawal. My symptoms were WILD swings in emotions, anger, severe anxiety and hopelessness. Personally, based solely on my experience and against the advice of my doctor, I decided to stop taking the meds and deal with the withdrawal. I don't think substitution of one drug that causes withdrawal symptoms with another that causes withdrawal symptoms is an effective strategy but I am not advising you to not listen to your doctor. Antidepressants mess with your brain chemistry as does porn. Plus I think the way antidepressants blunt your emotions can cause one to not be motivated to change the conditions in one's life which may have caused the problems in the first place can lead stop progress. I've only had one wet dream in my entire life so I can't speak to that part but since they are a product of brain chemistry it makes sense that if the blunting effect of the AD's go away then wet dreams would increase.
