Balance between PIED and premature ejaculation

    I have now gone over a year without masturbation and have mostly recovered. I do still suffer from premature ejaculation, however, and was wondering if anyone has any tips for overcoming this. My wife and I have two kids and oftentimes don’t get much alone time together so we can’t do it as often as we’d like and when we do, I don’t last long.

    I know some men masturbate occasionally in order to increase duration during real sex but I’m afraid of backsliding into porn and PIED if I try that. Should I occasionally masturbate but make sure to only think of my wife while doing it? Something like that maybe?

    I recently had some success when it comes to PE with my gf. I was having issues finishing in like less then a minute. However, the other night I was completely relaxed, felt unrushed, and really focused on controlling my breathing. I lasted pretty much as long as I wanted, then I finished when I wanted. I should add that I have been doing kegels for a couple of weeks and I believe it has helped my erection quality and possibly lasting longer. I have been able to stop an orgasm with kegel contraction.

    this problem makes a lot of sense and i think you're right in that starting M again as a solution could end badly. if i may ask, what about PE bothers you? is it that you want to last longer so that you yourself can enjoy it more, or do you want to be able to last longer for her? in terms of pleasing her, remember that there's a lot you can do in the bedroom other than penetrative sex. the man ejaculating should not be the end of the whole sexual experience ... most women don't really care about PE unless it results in their pleasure just being forgotten about and left unsatisfied. a lot of guys finish and then just roll over and call it a day, but there are many other ways you can continue to please your wife that don't involve an erection.
    either way, i do think the suggestion above about controlling your breathing is a good one.

    Yeap. Great suggestions above. Kegel exersizes do help for better erections and lasting longer

    In my experience kegels won´t always be the solution... in many cases it will worsen the problem if you have an overactive BC muscle. You can try them if you want but don´t get your hopes up to high...

    What works for me is a breathing/tension sequence which lowers my arousal instantly and doesn´t let my BC contract. It also hightens my orgasms. You can give this one a try without it affecting your muscle structure like a kegel will so it is completely harmless. So my advice is you practice the sequence outside the bedroom so you get the hang of it (since it is a bit complicated in the beginning) and apply it while during sex, preferably in the beginning before way before you feel the point of no return.

    So here we go:

    1. I exhale and hold that exhale while I position my hips in posterior pelvic tilt (PPT).

    2. When I am in PPT I force myself to exhale a bit more using my abs to push out any air left… after that I immediately feel the need to inhale (even more if I´m fucking) so I inhale BUT only into my chest, keeping my lower belly tucked in (leave it in the position it was after forcing the exhale with your abs).

    3. Hold that chest inhale for a couple of seconds and tense the muscles in your lower back, then again force the exhale using your abs. Your lower stomach should now be tucked in even more (since it already was tucked in before).

    4. Immediately inhale again into your chest and hold it again, then repeat step 3. Do this 3 or 4 times. Each time your lower belly should be more tucked in and your lower back muscles should tense up more after each inhale. By the way once you tense the lower back muscles you don´t let them loosen up again until this cycle is over.

    5. After 3 or 4 times of this release everything, breathe normally and continue with your thing.

    During this whole process you want to try and maintain your body in a PPT position as good as you can, so use your back to pound but keep your hips locked.
