I subconsciously look up porn websites. Is that bad?

I could be sitting in my room, or on my phone and just look it up. I mean the sites are usually blocked but I still do it every now and then. I don’t get around blockers but sometimes I do, but I never watch any videos or masturbate. Seriously, why is there so much porn its honestly kind of scary if you think about it.
Going through a lot but some days I look back and get disgusted at myself. it was bad, but I’m glad I started doing this. Still recovering I guess.

Hey mate, I think it is about being aware of your thoughts and when you get the thought 'look at porn', catch yourself in that action. I have it very similar to you but rather than porn sites I just check girls out on insta. I tell myself it isn't so bad but it is still a symptom of the addiction in my life. I do sometimes catch it but again I sometimes still look. However, I think putting in the effort to monitor your thoughts and be aware can have a positive impact whilst also accepting that sometimes we just slip up. All the best man.

You need to strengthen your will power. If you have an urge to look, get up and move around for a bit. The blockers you have aren't strong enough, if it means installing multiple blockers then by all means, do it. Looking at porn, whether you M to it or not is still as bad, it still gives your brain the same hit. Find some things that you can do during times of urges, or times of stress/boredom etc.

I would definitely not recommend looking at girls on Insta, it all leads down the same road to a relapse. It plants a seed, then you want to see a little more, maybe a bikini photo, then you want to see a naked woman and before you know it you're on a porn site. Delete insta, turn off the ability to download apps, delete your account etc. The less temptation there, the less likely you are to relapse.

Yeah I know, I was never recommending this course of action, simply relating to the post.

I used to do this. If you put in the conscious effort not too you'll stop doing it on auto pilot rather quickly

  7. Let's be real. This is not subconscious at all. I've done this a lot. As @TimeToQuitNow put it above, it requires a conscious effort to stop.
