I quit porn on May 5 2021. I have not fapped and outside of occasional wet dreams, have not ejaculated. I have almost no ability to get an erection for the last few months. The only time it was effortless was when I was on a date, making out with a woman and I had taken 5mg of an ED pill an hour prior. Other than that, I have the libido of a doorknob. My dick looks tiny most of the time, and that is unusual since I have an above average sized penis. I have had morning wood a few days and only once since quitting did I wake up horny in the middle of the night. Other than that, it's like being asexual. Not that my libido was particularly high prior to quitting porn, but I certainly had no issue getting a huge stiff erection to porn for hours at a time. It seems like quitting completely killed my dick, which from what I've read.. may be a good thing and indicate my brain is resetting.

I was a porn addict for about 15 years. I am 28 now. For the last 8 years I watched and edged to porn daily. I think I fried my dopamine system to be quite honest.

Is this normal in such a severe case to still have no libido? Could I take many months, maybe even a year? At what point do I consider other causes? I have normal blood work for what it's worth, but I do have some health issues. My testosterone has never been remotely low enough for anyone who could have such low libido or inability to get hard. I think it is dopamine related.. and I think all of the porn assisted in frying my brain to this point.

I seemed to be doing overall better in the 60-90 day area with frequent morning wood and then I entered another major flatline and have not come out of it since.

How long might this realistically take so I don't start panicking and looking for other causes?

No other causes, this is all due to porn. Porn fucks the dopamine system up. Try to stay away from it for atleast 1 year, see what happens.

  3. Flatlines are positives really, even if they don't feel like it at the time. You couldn't really say how long it would take to get back to a normal sexual function as everyone's in a different place. You will start to see improvements, however long they take.

I sure hope so. This feeling is awful. I have blood work again in a month which should rule out any hormonal issues, but man having the libido of a eunuch as a man in his prime, physically and age wise, is brutal. In the meantime if anything arises I have the ED pills to possibly help, but the issue really is a lack of arousal more than anything.
