Ok, really weird question but does a wet dream lead to a reset? I think I had one last night and I can't tell whether or not I should since it was involuntary.

Involuntary never counts - nor do wet dreams.

Dreams are always therapeutic; even wet dreams; even scary nightmares have a purpose. Think of it as your brain's way of working out what it needs to work out, healing what it needs to heal. Think of opium or heroin addicts who after withdrawal may even enter into violent vomiting periods, as their system vomits out all the poison from their past drug usage. Similarly, your brain isn't creating these dreams to pleasure itself or to tempt you; it may very well be spewing out all those masturbatory occasions and porn that you poisoned it with - thus freeing and releasing the memories from your system and your mind; the images are being released and coming out of you (unfortunately they cross the visual screen of imagination as they depart); this does not reinforce the addiction within you. In this way, you are healing. Wet dreams are also a natural part of male biology, and this is nature’s way of release. You wouldn’t want to repress nature’s way, as the repression may eventually cause you to sexually act out in undesirable ways of release, like PMO, the very addiction you’re trying to recover from, or worse. Wet dreams do not reinforce the addiction of PMO – they are involuntary, unlike porn-on-demand that you use to manipulate yourself and your need for a dopamine fix. The only possible negative side effects of a vivid wet dream is that the strong memory of it can cause further fantasy when awake, but this is usually temporary – but like any trigger, you have to resist this. Also, a partial or full O during a wet dream can bring about biological surges and vascular congestion in the groin and testes, causing them to feel uncomfortable for a little while until it all subsides - also a temporary condition. In the end, don’t fear wet dreams or think that they are harming you in any way – it’s just the opposite. No need for reset or to consider your reboot in recovery as affected adversely.
