    Hi fellas,

New here, anyways I was wanting to ask does anyone here believe there's a healthy way to watch porn? Like one that doesnt inhibit normal sexual activity & maybe fight of PIED at the same time? Ive just had the toughest time getting completely off it so ive been trying to size it down, content wise, number of times I view it etc. Does anyone think theres a better way to conquer these sexual dysfunctions of mine, PIED? Let me know if anyone agrees or disagrees w/ these thoughts & please feel free to include your own thoughts. Id appreciate that.

Im 28 right now. I've had PIED since I was 19. I've tried everything, reducing porn consumption, jerking it less, nothing worked. I've been avoiding doing hard mode my whole life. Currently on day 40 something on hard mode and noticed so much difference in the past 40 days than in the past 9 years.
My only solution is hard mode.
Maybe your case is different, but I'd highly recommend at least 30 days hard mode.

depends on the seriousness of your addiction, I would say.
Sizing it down? If you have a strategy that works for you, more power to you man! But I don't think that for a porn addict there's still a way of watching porn in a healthy way. But at least, when you do it only now and then and without breaking boundaries that are crucial for yourself, then you're on a good path.
Some say the decision and good will is the most important thing but I say it's results and progress.

As long as you voluntarily allow yourself pmo many will raise a brow here. But this could turn out to be better than promising / preaching full abstinence and relapse all the time.
My advice is: when you do it voluntarily then try to relax and try to keep the whole session short and kind of meaningful. What I mean is, when you act out and loose control completely you'll hurt yourself most definitely. Try not to judge yourself too much but at the same time don't use this as an excuse to do whatever you feel like in that moment. Also don't forget that internet porn will try to corrupt you more and suck you in.

In the end everyone must find for himself (or herself). But we also need help and education. Young guys without a clue can get totally lost in the world of highspeed internet porn. So it's good that there are places like this.
As soon as you have educated yourself you have both: the porn and the knowledge. Now, that's a whole new experience! And of course you're free for yourself to decide what to do. Don't let others decide!

By the way, I'm one of the guys myself who has always wanted to quit completely (since knowing the problem) but never did. Whatever you do, if you're addicted, it won't be easy. There's no wonder pill, no shortcut.

If you aren't addicted to it, and only watch it on occasion, then it can be ok.

But if you've let the addiction set in, not really. Think about it this way. Do alcoholics gone sober manage do drink responsibly once in a while? No.
Unfortunately once you have become addicted to something, the most practical thing to do is to stay away from the object of your addiction. There is no equilibrium. As soon as you get back into it you'll get dragged in with full force.

  6. Couldn't agree more.

To answer OP question, the answer is a hell no for me. Porn caused me ED. It was the only thing that could give me an erection, I struggled during real sex. Took a while for me to detach from porn. Trust me, don't focus on getting immediate results and what's the fastest way to get immediate results. It's going to hurt you in the long term.
