12 Angry Men (1957) Dir. Sidney Lumet - 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Roger Ebert said: "This is a film where tension comes from personality conflict, dialogue and body language, not action."
Burn After Reading. Fantastic movie if you can appreciate this kind of humour. The life lesson: ‘what did we learn Parker?’ ‘I guess we learned not to do it again.’ If you watched it, let me know how you liked it
My top 3: John Carpenter's The Thing Candyman (the original, haven't seen the 2021 one yet) The Truman Show
War Horse John Q Into the Wild Donnie Darko Gattaca These are my favs and think you should watch them.
To start off with: "Trainspotting" (great movie about heroin addiction. *warning, some triggers*) "Punch-Drunk Love" & "Magnolia" (Paul Thomas Anderson) "Synechdoche New York" & "Being John Malkovich" (Charlie Kaufman) "Zodiac", "Gone Girl", & "Se7en" (Fincher) "A Serious Man" & "A Man Without a Name" (Coen Brothers) "Memories of Murder" & "Parasite" (Bong Joon Ho) "GoodFellas" & "Raging Bull" (Scorsese) Any movie by these directors will all be great choices. They're all fantastic
