To people who began porn later in life

I started PMO when I was 19. Before that I MO'd once a day pretty much every day. I was horny, but I feel the later influence of porn ruined me. I used to have a lot of self discipline and gentlemanly notions of respect that became diminished over time. I started viewing women as opportunities to have sex instead of someone to get to know or have real intimacy with.

This is just my experience of it. Others will obviously have their own views, but when I MO'd once in a day as a teenager, that was enough for me. When prolonged porn use started then the edging started and then I was PMOing more than once a day and pretty much became instatiable when I became a real heavy user.

 

I feel bad for any young teen now that starts on porn. With the hormones and porn stimuli it must be a very powerful combination to deal with.

 

Well when I was a kid porn meant sneaking a look at a playboy at the drugstore. That was it. Sex was a mystery only talked about in health class and then vaguely.

what was it like? it was normal for us of course, but very different than for most kids today. Girls bodies were a source of endless fascination, a glimpse of a bra or panties was fodder for weeks of fantasy and speculation. Some things should remain a mystery only to be explored in the right context.

I think the advantage was that the only way to explore sexuality was with a real girl and with no other outlet, my horniness overcame my fear of talking to girls so I was able to have some normal teenage relationships.

i feel bad for teens today whose sexuality is so badly warped before it even fully formes.

 

I started on Porn when i was 17. before that i was having totally normal life: playing video games, going to school. Life was really good.
Than porn came and fucked my life.

I learned about sex when i was like 11-13, but all i knew was that people are hugging and kissing, that's how my mind understood sex. And honestly at that age i didn't really cared.

All i can do is feel deeply sorry for the poor kids who are watching porn at age 11, their childhood is robbed from them. and they can't defend themselves against it.

 

I didn't really think much of it, just didn't have a genuine desire to look at the stuff or engage in pmo as a teen. I started getting hooked around 18, after graduating high school. The change in structure, free time, no real goals etc kinda lead to that. The only real difference I'd say was energy, I didn't need a lot of sleep and could be up for hours doing whatever. I didn't use my time awake for much useful though, being a teen. And naturally, some of that energy was probably just being younger. But in terms of sexual energy, it wasn't a big thing for me. I never had any partners, but I was about as horny as your average teen probably, or maybe a bit less.

 

I started when I was young. Maybe 10. I don't remember my exact age. I used it as a way to escape my parents fighting. Porn was my escape.. little did I know how toxic it would be

I don't remember being horny. What I do remember is having my first real gf wanting to have sex with me and I couldn't get hard. It was so humiliating. I ruined so many relationships due to porn. The crazy thing was at the time I didn't even guess porn was the reason it didn't work. I just thought I was shy or something. I would highly advise anyone to quit porn obviously, but the younger you stop the better. Try and have healthy sexual experiences with a real woman

I wasn't horny, I was excited from seeing woman in Bikini in the newspapers, i used to masturbate in a very clumsy way and it was very new to me. however i can count on one hand the number of times i have looked at Bikini for the first 16 years of my life.
i remember my teacher telling as with a wink that "he knows what we think about at night" and i had no clue wtf is he talking about.

So i wasn't feeling horny at all, i had no clue about woman, sex, i was having tingling feeling when looking at bikini at newspapers, but without the motivation to seek out more.
same as going to Circus: it's nice when you are there, but you are not actively searching ways to go there again.

Honestly girls didn't interested me at all. they were something distant, i was more interested in video games. some of my friends went out to date girls, but i was like meh

but it's important to note that i was studying in all boy school

 

I grew up in a very rural area and didn't find porn until I was 22 and in college. In my teen years I'd occasionally find a lingerie catalog but that was the extent of my skin viewing. Was definitely attracted to girls but was too inexperienced and scared to make a move even when it would have been a sure thing. Porn changed things because even after I had the knowledge, experience, and opportunities galore to win with women I felt too ashamed and worthless to take any risks with them.
I'm 40 now and finally not just overcoming PMO, but dealing with the underlying issues. Covid made me buckle down and decide to level up so when this pandemic is over I will be who I aspire to be.

 

The first time I saw any porn (even a naked photo), I was @ 30 years old.
The previous 17 years, I had been only a masturbator (1-3 times daily).

 

When I was a teenager in the 90's there was porn but it was alot harder to get and it was mostly hard copy magazines, video's weren't as common and there was no internet, so the only option was renting on VHS which was 360x240 resolution. So basically the porn was much more vanilla than it is today. Teens defiantly had strong sex drives though and it was unheard of for someone in their teens or twenties to have PIED.
