As I was reading about my addiction. I thought to myself - “oh I better deactivate my pornhub premium” there was a thought that followed instantly as if from nowhere - “well you should do that RIGHT NOW” it was a feeling of urgency to cancel it. As I sit here (on day 3 PMO free) reading, the thought almost exclaimed - “you better stop reading right now to take care of that.” But….that’s not important right now. It’s not even a little important in the moment I’m in. That reflex thought was because my mind was starting to draw up images of pornhubs home screen. It was starting to picture thumbnails and I believe that that urgency, which felt like a healthy thought, was actually to get me to that front page (where browsing would have undoubtedly started). Damn, that was tricky. But I saw you ya little monster. I feel GREAT about catching that. Yeah,I think I’ll just keep reading

What made you pay for porn?

Oh I have paid for tons of it. I think my original thought was “well this is something you spend a lot of time doing, you might as well get quality content”. Happy to say that that thought seems kind of silly today.

But even with that quality content being free too if you search for it well enough?

Do you not believe my answer? I told you why I did. At the time I had no problem paying. In fact I started to end up on clip sites where paying was part of the rush/experience.

I think trolling a forum to knock down people who are trying to better themselves would qualify you as the “loser” friend. Good luck to you.

Good on you Xander for catching yourself before you made the mistake of visiting that site. I'd probably wait a while before you visit it to cancel your membership as I think that you'll be most prone to relapsing in the first week or two. Good luck!

Think that is great advice. Thank you. Might try to just find a support email and avoid going to the page all together. Hope you’re well too brother

  9. Bro, ignore "rx0".. he is a troll. I've seen him comment on other forums and is always starting issues. Nothing better to do. Good of you on trying to change your life and I wish you all the success overcoming it. All the best

Addicts often don't act rationally. That's the issue oftentimes.

  11. Paying for porn shows how deeply you are in this pit. If you pay then you are a part of this negative human eating industry. Still there is hope that's why god send you a signal to stop. Don't ignore that bro, you may use it.

I think that all porn is bad and should be avoided at all costs. Also, there is no need to encourage people on this forum to seek out free porn.

With that said, in my opinion, the free porn sites are the worst as they continually encourage you to watch/escalate to new genre's of porn. These free sites have the absolute worst unspeakable degenerate filth on them and are even more harmful than most paid vanilla sites. Its hard to say what the business model is of the free sites, but I suspect their main purpose is to get people addicted and to further erode society by destabilizing the family unit. All porn sites are bad, but the free ones are totally evil.

I don't understand where these conspiracy theories always come from. Why do people always think there are some greater motives behind porn? Porn makes money, that's the reason why it is growing. It makes money, cause people like to watch it. The business model behind it is the same as on any other site, that offers "free" content. They live by voluntary payments from it's users as well as money from selling advertisement space. Simple as that. Also, if you think the content is free, it is not. You pay with your data.

IR254, I agree with you about porn being about profit in most cases. However I was specifically referring to some of the free sites, most notably PH. Before PH was available people basically did need to get a subscription to a site, but now many people can just log onto PH and its almost like a paid subscription, only much worse. Btw, I'm pretty sure that all of the free sites are owned by the same company, MindGeek IIRC. Interestingly, I just checked and MindGeek has financial backing by JPMorgan, which, surprise surprise is owned by Vanguard and Blackrock... Basically the establishment owns MindGeek. Regardless of if they do in fact have ulterior motives for what they do, I think that we should be able to agree that PH has a very detrimental effect on many men & women and in turn society in general. Based on some of the content they allow on their website, I think they're pure evil.

What made me say that? I was surprised that an individual will go out of their way to pay when they can find the HD stuff free as well. Of course it’s nothing new, I’m just curious how OP thinks

If you're paying with a card from a bank you could probably just contact the bank and tell them to stop charges from pornhub, or however it pops up on your bank statement since a lot of those websites obscure their true name for privacy. If that doesn't work, emailing support should work.

That’s a good thought Pegasus. Might just call the bank. I’m feeling great right now (Day 4) and want to avoid anything related to it. I don’t to want to see a black and orange color scheme until Halloween! Haha. Gonna keep focusing on the plan for a while. Appreciate the reply. Hope you are well!

I agree and don’t feel any evil or conspiracy. I think they are a business and trying to make money. If anything they may be slightly unethical because they have an addictive product. I see it similar to cigarette and alcohol companies, they know it’s addictive and will use any tool they can to make it as profitable as possible. I may not think it’s evil, but I do think it’s incredibly destructive, a lot of things in life are. It’s become far too destructive for me and I want to live without it.

But that being said, the reasoning doesn’t matter. We are all here making this choice for whatever reason speaks to us, and that’s really incredible. Haha warning, hippie thoughts incoming - I’ve always thought that the universe speaks to you in a language specific to you, one that only you can understand. Religious, non-religious, logical, spiritual. Doesn’t matter. We’re all here because we are listening and want to be better. Appreciate all of your support
