I relapsed...after 25 days.

Discussion in 'New to NoFap' started by Deleted Account, Sep 14, 2015.

  1. So yeah! I relapsed man. All the excitement, confidence, and determination went to hell. Why? Because I would daydream sexual things with girls before I went to sleep and get rock-hard boners that impressed me on my journey. It was all fine when I was doing it until I met this beautiful girl in my ping pong club. I said to myself, "that's it; I can't hold it in anymore!" Went home, pulled out the machine gun, and shot away. Everything I worked for...Gone in less than 30 seconds. So I have been PMOing a little bit recently. Been like a week since I relapsed? I stopped counting after it...

So now, I feel like...an empty shell again. I certainly did not restart porn again because I know my work led to something. I don't want to completely root out all that progress. The benefits man...Even though I stopped feeling that feel-good and can-achieve-anything after 3 weeks of not PMOing, I felt like a normal human being, y'know? Felt...good. Now, I feel like a guy who's empty and lost everything in the world. Having the ability to control yourself means a lot to you as a person. I'm going to restart my journey and learn from my first mistake of my intricate sexual daydreams. Wish me luck everyone and ANY EXTRA TIPS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I really want to achieve that 90 day NoFap mark! Thank you.

I can relate to you, i just went back to school and i see all kind of good looking girls which made me relapsed after 21 days. But you know what? i stay enthusiast and i invite you to do the same. Now i wish you good luck, get back on your feet and remember that you did 25 days which is really good.

Well I relapsed with M and O after a week, and to be honest that was long for me considering my history. I want to get the 90 day thing, but my first goal now is simply to beat my record.

I'm sure the urge will sneak up on you from time to time, but the 3 weeks of sexual 'sobriety' you did have would still be positive.

After I relapsed the temptation was to bottom out and binge. I imagine this would be an even greater temptation after a longer period. For me, hitting the reset button straight away was very important.

I think you are too hard on yourself, just start another streak, mate, in 2 weeks you will feel the same, and this time: make the glory period longer!!!

  6. @fercho29, Thank you very much! I went over your tips and I have some of them in action. I have implemented the K-9 strategy but I realized I naturally do not return to porn sites anymore! Your tips on thinking deep and long as soon as soon as you feel your about to relapse also helps! This one is valuable and I think it might just be the last resort instead of just instantly fapping away back to Earth.

@Expiated If you want, I'm here to hear about any of your worries. It's definitely hard to start on this path when you were just so stuck to your old ways. I feel like the more days you pass without tapping, your brain slowly adapts to it. I have to tell you that as soon as I restarted my goal, it felt like I never gave up and I have the benefits back already. My body already adapted to my new schedule and I am pretty much homeostasis at this point. I just want to minimize the likelihood of me fapping off to nothing ever again. The benefits outweigh the downsides greatly. Hope to hear from you.

@Ryszard Mazur You're right; I am too hard on myself. If I do something, I have to reach it; no matter what. It's bad and good; it definitely reflects on my personality as being a stubborn guy!! I am definitely aiming for those glory moments! Your goal looks ambitious by the way, have you relapsed before after going far?

hey, my goal is 105 cos the projection is only a period this long would do it for me in terms of full recovery. I calculated it according to how long I fapped and how young I started ... and, yeah, I once reached over 30 days of no P streak and 20 days of absolute NoFap. also I once abstained for 30 days in college. So , I guess, yeah, this goal ambitious, and , hell yeah, up to now, unrealistic but I wanna make it, it is not impossible.

And this stubbornness, yeah it's good and bad, mate, but, like RSD Jeffy said, it is your life, man, it does not matter how long it takes!!! as long as you make it, eventually! So, maybe, yeah strive for glory moments, if you achieve them: great, however if you do relapse, it feels like shit, but hey!!!! does not have to feel that way forever, you just mourn the situation but what does nofap emphasize? never give up!!!! so, brush yourself off the next day and start over, a little bit wiser, with more caution of what not to do and aiming at an even longer streak, that is how you do not suffer a mental breakdown :)
