Same here, I thought my pains may have been caused by excessive pmo rather than as a withdrawl symptom, but most people tend to say withdrawls, so I don't know
It's just your brain trying to trick you into getting back into it on a regular basis. This will happen on a streak, or even if you've relapsed recently. I went through all this early on in my recovery. The only way to get through it is to persevere and try your hardest to stay on long streaks. Once you get a few really long streaks under your belt, your brain will have healed to the point where the withdrawal symptoms become nonexistent, and you only feel the negative effects of a relapse for a few days. I understand that this notion can seem frustratingly unattainable to people who are still at a point where they are fiercely battling this addiction, but just trust me when I say that it will get better in time; it really does.
Thanks again, you've been a lot of help. Unfortunately, even knowing what I know, I keep relapsing. I plan to do better this time
I do have one question though (sorry if I already asked this), did any of your symptoms begin before you even tried to quit? Some of my symptoms began while I was PMOing regularly. I get that the body goes into withdrawl quickly, but I still feel symptoms right after I relapse. If it was only withdrawl shouldn't I get reprieve from relapse? Thats why I thought maybe it was something more than withdrawl like a chemical imbalance or something and I've never gone long enough on nofap to rebalance. What are your thoughts?
I think there are definitely some symptoms caused by PMO addiction itself, which would most likely be some kind of chemical imbalance caused by the amount of stress you're putting your body and brain. I have a post on this thread that goes into much more detail: https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?t...-edging-withdrawal.323763/page-4#post-3278054 That entire thread is full of useful information. You should try to read through all seven pages if you have the time.
Thanks, I've actually read through a lot of that post and posted in it a couple times. There is a lot of useful information in there
