I am an addict. That defines so much about me. I blame a lot on PMO but it is the lack of discipline in all facets of life which has been dragging me down. Don't be mistaken. I am doing great professionally and there are so many things I have to be happy about. But I still end up feeling miserable because of this habit.

I want to use this forum to make progress. I have been consuming porn for almost 16 years. There is so much baggage associated with it that it took me more than 7 years of nofap attempts. Yet sometimes I feel I am stuck at the very start.

I appreciate everything that Nofap stands for and I truly believe that PMO is keeping us stuck in a cage and we need to break free to enjoy life itself.

  2. Hi, @Typicalguy and welcome to the forum. I hope you can make great use of all the posts and stories that others share on these forums. Maybe you can even learn some things to make this journey a little easier for yourself. Just as a note though and what helps me a bit is the mindset that, while we are addicts, we should not define ourselves by our addictions. We are all so much more than that. Good luck

P.S Try and journal your thoughts and feelings with PMO as well. It may help you work through whatever you have going on.

    Welcome bro!

I suggest reading nofap's pdf if you haven't already Getting-Started-with-NoFap.pdf at least the parts you can benefit from, as among other useful things it goes over the pmo addiction in further details and Why your brain was addicted in the first place!
I wish you all the best to your journey!

Welcome and good luck on your journey. The first 2 weeks were absolute hell for me but it does get better and easier. I've been an addict for almost 25 years - it can be done!
