Hey guys if anyone has had a similar experience as me please post below as it's something that still gets me down. So apparently the science is that when you release dopamine it stops the testosterone binding with the androgen receptors which are the receptors that promote beard growth. For some back story quickly and context I'm Pakistani origin all my dad and mum side are quite strong genetic people not the typical South Asians that you may think of, dad, uncles, brother even the females in the family physically strong looks wise all the males can grow full thick beards and I have a huge family literally every male can grow a thick beard and generally hair including my brother. Me on the other hand, I can grow hair on my goatee area however it only grows like smooth beard hair around the chin and the moustash area is just prickly stubble, the cheeks have hairs that grow but it's like follicles are missing and the hairs don't fill out much no matter how long I wait so I usually just shave those and keep the chin goatee. So I have two theories however I think the second one is probably the reason for my problems.... 1. My mum had me when she was like 32, her third kid and not sure what her diet etc was like or if she was eating chewing tobacco by then 2. I have basically been masturbating since the age of 6 and when I hit puberty I was masturbating NUMEROUS times a day I'm talking between 6-10, 3/4x in a row etc just completely obsessed with jerking off and I can't remember many days I went without fapping basically throughout my teen years and even early adulthood. Would this have caused a halt in my testosterone production? I also have a friend who fapped daily and he also gets quite a patchy beard despite having extremely hair father and uncle etc also is there anyone who fapped as hard as this and still grew a thick beard?
You're absolutely spot on. My beard doesn't grow in thick either, moreso very patchy too and never looks thick. It's friggin embarrassing honestly, since I would love to have a beard. But I have tried to grow it out and friends will always say I don't know how to trim, but honestly that's just where the hair won't grow they're taking about. It's been over a year now and I just keep in habit of shaving every morning now. I got sick of the abuse. And yes my father and uncles and grandfathers all had thick beards. We have messed our hormones up bad. I started around age 10 or so watching VHS porn when my dumb ass dad was too dumb to remove it from the vcr. It escalated from there to collecting magazines and then buying multiple dvds a week and ordering bs on cable too. Then when the whole free sites with short clips until sites we know now with longer clips. It's awful.
