Today is my 19th day of no PMO.
I don't have any urges to watch P or to M, so no problem on that side

Earlier if i was unable to sleep, i used to M and then fall asleep. If i wake up at night and then couldn't sleep, i used to M and it used to help.

But now that I've stopped M, my sleep is pretty screwed. I am not able to sleep even if i am tired. And if i wake later in the night, again, I'm not able to go back to sleep
I don't feel like M , and my libido is almost existant. But i don't know what to do so that i can sleep peacefully as it is important for rewiring i guess.

Would appreciate if you guys can throw some light.

  2. You might consider what you are taking in your body. Cut the sugar and coffee.

Thanks a lot for you suggestion. I have a small cup of every day in the the morning, that's it. I don't consume coffee there after at all. And i have been doing this all along, even when i was masturbating. So i don't think it has any connection me not being able to sleep after stopping masturbation.

  4. What about telephone or pc use before sleep? I can only recommend you to stop using any kind of electronics 1h/1.5h before bedtime. You can also try some melatonin (3mg for example) It helped me for a while but right now I'm trying to produce it by myself ;) Also don't think about everything too much. Don't fall into thoughts that weight couple of tons. Try meditate maybe? Everything is going to be fine my friend.

  5. Try quitting coffee. Even a small amount of coffee stimulates a lot of dopamine.

@Neo78 I slept a bit better last night. Have you watched any of the Andrew Huberman stuff on sleep. I did the whole getting out near to sunrise and sunset to get that light supposedly it is a lot to do with regulating sleep. It is probably a healthy thing to be doing anyway. I also took a herbal supplement, I was really over due a better sleep so not sure if it helped or not. I also cut down slightly on caffeine from today and I my blue light blocking glasses arrived. I will keep you posted! how is your sleep now?

    Hey born3,
I have been sleeping better for last 2 nights. Didn't do anything specifically, it just happened. But woke up at @ 3-3.30 am, and couldn't sleep for sometime. This could be withdrawal symptom. But i hope it goes away with time.
I haven't seen the videos you are talking about, but will have a look.

Thanks for your reply. Things are getting better. So avoid any medication for now.

  9. Sleep is crucial. I'm glad you are thinking about it. When you are working on full sleep, you are out there with a loaded gun. Otherwise, you got a wet noodle, if you are making mistakes.

@Neo78 hey, how are you getting on with sleep. I am sleeping a lot better since I have been wearing the blues light blocking glasses after 7pm.

So I was off of P and M for about 9 - 10 months and relapsed, and my sleep in the first month was trash. Now that I recover and reboot from my last relapse, my sleep is trash too. I expect to improve withing a month. (Tomorrow I will celebrate 7 days). While my sleep is sometimes only 4 hours, and sometimes a little more, I just kind of plow through. But it is extremely frustrating for me too.

It happened to me a lot during the process! To tell the truth after everything I've read and experienced - there is no real solution to this! The best thing I can tell you is just don't fight it, you can't really beat it. Just know that tomorrow night will not be like this, it will come back to you a few more times, but as you progress in the process, it will stop! And believe me, at the end of the process you will sleep like a baby. There is no doubt that this is one of the most difficult challenges, but it will pass!

I increased exercise, and it helped me sleep a lot better.
