They get me very relaxed. It's actually nothing sexual.

I found out about ASMR through this forum when I first started. The guy who posted was using it as a "nicotine patch." I tried it initially, and realized it was potentially triggering. Whispers like that can be so intimate, that, at least to me, its reminiscent of real and personal affection. Espeically when they call you affectionate names like "darling" or "honey." So I stopped.

I recently, (about two weeks ago?) started using them again. They help me sleep. I only listen to them though. I don't watch. I don't want the cute girl's face in my head when I sleep. But the voice and tingles help.

Its not a relapse, if that's what you're asking, but be careful. They can be triggering.

P.S. Christen Noel is my favorite.

Out of curiosity, have any of you noticed a decreased ability to asmr when you're in heavy usage of pmo? I remember I used to get the tingles all the time, I mean I couldn't control it. But now it's pretty difficult to do. Kinda disappointing.

I found that asmr videos were a huge trigger for me. I thought it was harmless until i realized that every time i watched an asmr video i would feel slight relief only to be followed by brain fog, stress and urging to pmo again. It was a huge trigger for me so i had to stop watching asmr videos.

I hear you, Joe. That's where I was a couple months ago. Now I can listen (I don't watch) to them no problem.

I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately. At first, I thought I should just avoid potentially triggering ASMR videos. But then I got to thinking, how fake it all is and ultimately even the non-triggering ASMR videos almost serve as a substitute for talking to women in real life.

I still feel ambivalent about it but for the time being I'm going to avoid watching ASMR videos altogether.

Yes, definitely. ASMR is not nearly as relaxing when you've recently pmo'd, I have found.

  9. To me ASMR is much more relaxing after I've fapped.. plus it's a very strong trigger as I love the whispers and the blows..!
