    Assalamualaikum
    Hello everyone ..
I like to share you the advice of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him about a trick to weaken and control our desire about sex, He (Peace be Upon him) said:
“O young men, whoever among you can afford it (marry), let him get married, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding one’s chastity. And whoever cannot afford it, let him fast, for it will be a shield for him.”

So far, it's so effective for me to lower my gaze and my urge. I can't fast every day because I know my limit. then I start twice a week because this sunnah from my beloved prophet. the days are monday and thursday. I eat in the early morning, do fasting and then break the fasting after maghrib (early night).

    Let's trying ...;)

I eat foods in early morning before the sun rises up ( it's at about 04.00 Am in my country). afterwards, I stop eating , do fasting and I will break the fasting in the early of evening (it's at about 06.15 Pm in my country). I fully do fasting between these times. no food, no drinks, no gossip, no sexual activities (do PMO or sex).

If you dislike to do it, you may start to do fasting but you can drink water ... and then in the next day try to do full fasting..

    Walaikum aslam petarungcoli!

Alhumdullilah, I too am beginning the journey of fasting Monday and Thursdays. I also make sure to pray five times a day, and try to read them as soon as possible after the athan time. I also read the Quran for 30 mins everyday in English, and I plan on reading an extra voluntary 2 nafl prayer during the middle of the day. I also try and go to Juma every Friday, and I want to start making my Friday nights about Tahajjud, where I try and pray the majority of the night (or atleast half of it). It seems like a lot, but if you really think about it, it's really not that much, especially when you have all this time not masturbating and suffering from semen loss...

I am recovering from PMO too brother, and I have realized that I have committed a big sin. Yet, I try to see it in the bigger picture. When under the influence of PMO, I believe Allah sealed my heart, because I thought that Allah was making my life hard because he hated me. However, after I realized that I was in the wrong, not Allah, as I was the one committing this major Zina. So, I repented, and he, praise be to Him, opened my heart. I then saw the value of how Allah warns us to lower our gaze when around women and how we must treat women with respect and dignity. Alhumdulillah, now, I will never lust after women, and I will make sure to teach my children the dangers of sex, lust, masturbation, and pornography. We are living in the age of the internet, something our parents have not experienced. We ARE the first generation to live in this digital world, and while there is so much good on the internet, there is also so much bad. We, as Muslims, have to learn from this experience and help others, Muslims and non-Muslims alike, to fight this new evil of porn.

may Allah bless you my brother, how wise your sentence. it inspires me so much. Yeah, we live in the beginning of digital era. We have this experience that can be shared to other people. we are lucky because of considering this isue. I'm sure that Allah loves us so much. I ever thought the same way that Allah hated me. But I forgot how many times Allah reminded me about this. how much Allah blessed me every day..

I believe that we can recover from this evil by following Quran and sunnah the messenger peace be upon him. Muslim has good habit and lifestyle, we need share it to our brothers and sisters in islam even to non muslim.

Where do you come from brother??
