Midterms were hitting me hard last week and still have one more left this Thursday. I would have make you beat your best 58 days non-PMO streak, now I feel bad because if I were there you would have hold out.

Now I'm on day 24, the amount of energy within me is almost unreal. I guess it's time for BEAST MODE! I follow Rob Riches' forearm workout and he says:"Think about forearms, like, with abs, and calves as well, I feel you gotta punish them a lot. That means a lot of sets, a lot of reps, and a lot of volumes."

I can't agree more, with urges, I feel like I have to punish them with sets after sets, and other methods like cold shower and eating less meat. Whatever works for you, this time we will hit 90 days!

I read today that as the sexual energy builds up, you need to direct it in your body, to energize it. It says in this book that you will go from uncontrollable urges to a more calm, relaxed, control feeling of the sexual energy. I'm reading the multi orgasmic man and I'll be back with the things I'll find useful.

Basically it's possible to have orgasms (many of them) without ejaculating if you do some breathing exercises and can relax just before the point of no return. This is what I got so far out of the book, I'll keep reading when I get some more time. Maybe these exercises can help with wet dreams too hmmm

Thank you proxerproxer for the link to Pranayam breathing. If anyone wants just a simple breathing technique that will make you happier overall, read on. Only 3 steps

For me, I didn't watch the whole video because the breathing techniques are pretty intricate and involved.
I am involved in a meditative community and learned this week that one particular breath helps to bring the body into the present moment and therefore make you a happier being. Unfortunately the porn urges are very strong for me right now because this is the start of a 90 day reboot and I have relapsed a number of times. The video you posted was a great reminder of the tools that are available to be in the present moment and see the urge as just that, a mental thought that comes and goes. This technique was researched by Harvard University and showed a significant increase in people's happiness. I can go into more detail if interested in another post. Anyway, here is the technique.

Key: Be aware of your breathing and try to have it in the foreground of your senses.
    1. Deep in breath from the belly (diaphram) Count up to 5 in your head.
    2. Hold breath for 3 seconds.
    3. Release the complete breath for 4 seconds.

    Repeat 3 times.

Each time you breath in be aware of the urge, or event that is triggering you and when you breath out think "letting go."

    That's it.

In my experience this breathing has helped to make me aware of anger, anxiety, guilt, depression, pride, and/or jealousy that is popping up in my head by possibly some trigger. These are destructive emotions that do not make me happy and only self centered.

The breath puts me back in the present moment. I realize that these emotions are just thoughts in my head and I don't need to act on them, I can just let them go. Some are easier to let go of than others.

In addition to being aware of destructive emotions that come up, I hope to use this technique when sexual urges, ideas of PMO, or "rationalizing PMO come up.

Feel free to share your thoughts, direct experiences with breathing techniques, and other insights that have helped you overcome PMO addiction.

I am grateful for this communities road maps out of addiction with this individual challenge.

I went PMO free for 150 days last year. My experience from what I remember was that there were a lot of perks and some interesting not so perks.

    1. I didn't crave P. This took maybe about a month or so, but the desire definitely went down. At day 150 I just PMO'ed b/c I had gone over my initial goal and "justified" it to see if I was still "hooked." Well that was about about six months ago and I've relapsed many times since.
    2. It wasn't a focus when on the computer
    3. I got a lot more stuff done. Energy level to accomplish was greater. At first it was because I was looking for alternatives, then it just was my normal state.
    4. Masculinity and "healthy" sexual desires felt more common and normal. I wrote a previous article about a afternoon ONS that probably happened because I hadn't PMO'ed in probably about a month.
    5. More social with friends and when out.
    6. More confident with people, especially women.

As for number 4, that is one of the main reason's I am starting this journey again. I am noticing and becoming aware of the fact that P objectifies women. I don't want to just see a body part and get hard from it. Each person is a human being and should be treated as such. My experience for number 4 was fun but I objectified her in my head.
I hope by stopping P, increasing awareness through meditation, and really talking to people and listening instead of creating an idea of them in my head I can have more meaningful relationships.

Great question, long answer but hopefully gives all encouragement.
