Tryying to go with no porn, masturbation or orgasm. I'm about 8 days in. It's not been too hard but it has had its moments of difficulty. Mainly waking up in the middle of the night. That is when it is the most difficult. What saved me.... two words "audio book" I picture the scene the book is illustrating, so sexual images don't cloud my mind. I highly recommend it. Make sure it is new or something you haven't heard in a long time. I do have a question for the community. About three days ago my pants barley tapped the kitchen counter once and I felt like an electric spark at my external urethral orifice (aka) pee pee hole lol. I felt as if I was going to have an orgasm, my knees almost buckled and everything. I didn't have an erection at all. Is that normal going through this?? And the other thing is for the past day or so the same spot is tingling. I know I didn't hit the counter with any real force at all. Last question I'm feeling extremely tired. Everyone else says they have all this energy and they feel great. I feel like crap for the past two days. Any insight would be appreciated.

You are probably just hyper-sensitive in that area, your body should self regulate soon. If you are waking in the middle of the night the withdrawal symptoms may be effecting your sleep. It should all get better soon, just stick with it.

Your body is rewiring. Since you dont masturbate on a regulare basis like you probably used to do before, your body will try to get rid of the semen by natural ways ( wet dreams). That tingling thing happens when the semen wants to flow out.
    I hope that helps.

    Dude,
my ding dong was so sensitive around that time, I felt like I could rocket one off just by looking at it! Totally normal, and will go away. Also, ive been having some issues with insomnia since my quit. Especially when I wake up in the middle of the night and my jewels are swollen. Will go away. Keep up the good fight brotha!

  6. It will be alright you are normal and will experience this type of thing occassionally as you practice purity. Good work!
My knees buckle a lot since I'm practicing chastity but I take it as a sign of my purity and tell myself I am different then most guys.

Yeah, youre not getting the flood of dopamine from PMO that your brain has become addicted to. That's probably why youre tired and moody for now.

Seek out healthy ways to get the dopamine fix - esp physical exercise, laughter, sunshine etc lol

Exercise gives you endorphines and sunshine gives you serotonin. Both are happy hormones just like dopamine, but if you want your dopamine fix, I suggest foods, that are rich in carbs, listening to music you like and like you said, laughter.

But why should we intentionally give dopamine to our dopamine-addicted brain at this stage? Shouldn't we wait for our dopamine receptors to go back to their natural form?

    Lol I stand corrected m8. Make-happy hormones.

We all know that the transition away from PMO is pretty rough, but that's not to say that we shouldnt cushion the fall with natural activities that make you feel good. You cant white-knuckle your recovery..

I guess that is why I have been seeking sunlinght more over this last week. I am working out ever other day. Maybe I should change that to everyday.

That's really good Nor. Like my acc buddy says, as long as youre filling your time with constructive activity, carefully chosen to make you a better person (including having good, clean, healthy fun every now and then) then that's half the battle.
When we're alone with our laptops with nothing to do, we become bored, depressed, look up enough stupid things until we hit on something vaguely sexual and then bam, game over.
