Recently deleted all of my porn on the desktop and emergency porn on usb drives. The stuff on teh usb sticks was mostly for being out on the road during business trips. However, I am still prone to using a lot of my free time browsing the tube sites and stuff like that. I have had some small successes abstaining from PMO but my healing will take time of course.

So I have a upcoming work trip. This is the first week I will not have access to porn. I have computer access via my company laptop. Obviously, I don't wanna go that route as I have been flagged once for my online visits. My main fight is with lonliness. I am a homebody that will be in a hotel for a week. Besides the obvious, what can I do to combat this or at least not get my ass fired.

maybe instead of being in the hotel room, you can be in the pool side or in the hotel garden. that way you'd still have your solitude but there'll be people around so you wont watch porn.
i read here that the opposite of addiction is connection with life and not abstinence. maybe you can talk with some old friend, call one up. you never know how happy some former friend might be to hear from you.

I want to add that doing any activity other than porn won't bring instantaneous pleasure. It may seem torture at first, but I think that the torture is better than porn.

That's how i force myself to read. It's very boring at times but i visualize doing push ups or pull ups as i'm reading a book.

It's more like the 2am sensations you know what I mean. Hard to read a book when your horny out of your mind and can' sleep. Well so far so good. I have had a bit of a slipup visiting a page i shouldn't have been at. But no Pmo as of yet. Starting to get real antsy now which I good. I have touched myself but nothing beyond that. At this point I am taking this one minute at a time. Thanks for the thoughts guys.

BiggA, I was a victim of heavy internet porn. I visited heavily sites porn URLs and downloaded thousands of vidz from there. I would load them up on my external hard drive and take them with every time I traveled. See, I traveled a lot - about 4 times a year for duration of a month for each trip. Porn kind of kept me "sane" until it interfered with my reasoning capacity and ability to figure out even some of the most basic things involved in the work training I was traveling for. I then took a decision to reboot as I could clearly see that I'm deteriorating due to porn.

I pray each day for God to keep me from PMO. Today is day 11 for me. I actually hate looking at the abstinence in terms of days. I want to change my perception of women which is the primary reason why I PMOed in the first place.

    Good luck bro....Together we stand!!!

go for a walk earlier not at 0200 or you may find other trouble then. get tired out. go to the gym. run up stairs. one thing not to do is lay awake in bed thinking how uncomfortable you are and how you would normally put yourself to sleep. if it means getting up and having a cold shower, do it. if it means getting up and doing pushups, do it. but do not lay there filling your mind with negative thoughts. you can succeed. its not easy and its not really fun. when the times are difficult think about WHY you are pursuing this healing process. you, as we others, are broken and need fixing. keep strong. one day at a time and we each will continue towards full healing.

    Hi BiggA,

I would agree with these guys. I know you said your a home body, but some extreme measures may be necessary to make your goal. Think of how hard we looked for PMO and how many goofy things we did from that perspective. Then think "Walking up and down the stairs for 10 minutes at two in the mornings isn't completely insane".

    Keep Fighting.
