i'm on day 46 hard mode (well i'm single). firstly known nofap since november 2015 and trying for many streaks however this one is my longest run. The result was great my fuckin severe social anxiety is relieved (well not 100% but i was very satisfied), i was kinda more happy. I admit it's a great decision and i really love the result. But my anxiety, my urge is back 3-4 days ago. Start watching p-sub from just 1min to 5min to 10min. Today I'm closest to relapse by watching porn for probably 10mins but luckily at some point I can close my laptop and leaves it without MO. I just feel like i cant control the urge. My anxiety is back. A thought of objectifying woman is back strongly. Everything seems to go back to the 1st day I started. Are there anyone having an experience which everything was improved but suddenly it got bad in 2-3 days? And should I consider this a relapse?

Congratulations for reaching 46 days. That is awesome!!!

About your question: as a person with social anxiety myself, I can tell from experience that p-subs really affect how social anxiety goes the following days. For example, I think of PMO as a broken arm, and p-subs are similar to keep moving that arm, not letting the wound heal. Technically it is not a relapse, but it hinders the healing process, even to the point that subtracts days out of the streak.

thanks for your very good comparison. at least this time it gives me an idea that even p-sub can bring me down.

Here is what I try to keep in mind on rough, anxiety-ridden days: When the human brain is addicted to something, and it feels a void like the one anxiety provides, it tries to go back to what it knows -- to what feels safe. For me, that safety net was always porn. But, in the long run, porn only increased my anxiety.

There is a great feeling of accomplishment when you beat those days and continue on your path to recovery. Okay, you slipped up a little bit, but I guarantee you will feel better just keeping on the same track as opposed to letting it turn into a full relapse. This is just part of the recovery! Don't focus so much on whether or not this keeps your streak intact, but rather view it as another step in the recovery process. This should help you stay focused on your goal.

  5. i know how you feel man. If you will check some of my most recent post you will see what i mean. this is very common to start just peeking, then more and more. And you're building yourself up, its gonna explode if you;re not gonna try to avoid porn the same way you tried to do it at the beginning. I masturbated after 4 months, and don;t regret it and feel good now and after i masturbated, but I had 4 months of no porn and masturbation, and it did help me become a bit more sane. There's no easy way around. Somehow you're trying to do the same thing I did. You can go with pmo if you really want. your choice man. Just gotta find the strength
